Was okay.

Great location, right on Atlantic Ave. Across the street from beach so it was more economical than beachfront rooms.

Please Read before booking at this hotel

Negative: The pictures displayed are not what the rooms looked like, front desk staff were young adults with no hospitality experience, they gave another guest a key to our room & the guest opened the door while we were in the room (very scary), never got housekeeping during our whole stay & had to pick up clean towels from the front desk, hotel needs to be renovated, old rusty elevator, we've stayed in other Ramada hotels and they were never this run down. Positive: Great price, Great location, Continental breakfast was decent, the resturant located next door called "Oasis" serves the best seafood platter in VA Beach!

Great Location

Great location. We were right across the street by the Neptune Statue. We were within walking distance of many things to do and were only about 10 minutes from the aquarium. Great value for the money.

A Dumpy Hotel in a great location

STAY AWAY FROM HERE! For the budget money, stay somewhere else in Virginia Beach. This Ramada is one step away from being a rats nest: noisy rooms, uncomfortable beds, out dated furnishings, lousy elevator. This place reminds me of the kinda hotel you stayed in back the 1970s with your parents on a budget vacation back in the 1970s.

Great room for the money.

The room was large but the hotel was aged and could use some work. We would stay there again but would be afraid to recommend it.

Poor hotel but expected for the price

We expected the hotel to be of lower quality due to the price but if are staying longer than a night "Move On". It definately needs an overhaul, seemed dirty and unkept. Elevator was like a sauna with cig burns everywhere. My kids felt like they were "unsafe" staying there.

Needs Improvement

Contacted the hotel the day of check-in to verify an non-smoking ocean view room - checked in to a dirty room that had not been taken care of by housekeeping. Staff moved me to a 2nd room which was occupied - then to a 3rd room smoking with a view of a black tar covered roof. By this time I was in tears in lugging my suitcase around (I traveled alone). They young girls at the front desk were very nice and moved me on the following day to a room on the 5th floor with a great view and it was CLEAN & smoke free!! The elevator also broke down one of those days-what an experience! The hotel is in a good location but is in need of a fresh coat of paint, the elevator needs a good cleaning and some new flooring put in it. Also the electronic room locks are outdated and don't work as accurately as they should. The beach is fabulous!!

Nice hotel for a good price

The outside could use some updating but the rooms are great size, the front desk was one of the best staffs I've ever had and the rooftop pool was a great place to relax.

Needs inprovement

Considering what we paid the room met its obligation---a place to sleep. The rooftop pool was only in operation part of the time. It is directly aross the street from the ocen and that was the selling point for us.

Good location but.....

This hotel is in desperate need of an update throughout. Door to rm did not lock properly, 2 elec outlets did not wk, cigarette butts on balcony, refrigerator made all items freeze, front door to hotel v. dirty and unwelcoming...do not recommend.
