Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 31Great Staff... and the Pool was beautiful.
I stayed here during movi-in weekend for the University of Alabama with my family. This was our first time staying in Tuscaloosa and I was very impressed with the hotel. There were plenty of restaurants and a Wal-Mart two blocks down.(It made it convenient to shop for our son who was moving into UA). My favorite part of the hotel was the large swimming pool. It is one of the few hotels that actually has a real pool and not just a hole with water! Pam, the General Manager was also very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be staying at the Ramada the next time we come to Tuscaloosa.

this was an aweful place to stay. I thought ramada was suppose to be nice. There were roaches on the walls. There was hairs all over in the bathroom. The sheets smelled used. I was totally disappointed in the accomadations and will never stay there again. It is a old run down roach motel.

I thought Ramada was suppose to be nice? This room was terribly disgusting!! It was suppose to be non-smoking and it totally smelled like cigarettes. I killed 2 roaches crawling on the wall. There were hairs in the bathroom. It was terrible.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 31DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!
My wife and I had stayed at this hotel once before in 2008 and overall had a decent experience. This time the experience was entirely different. First, we were tried to check in the front desk they did not know how to process our reservation through hotels.com. My wife had to show them our reservation paperwork that we had printed out. Once in the room, we noticed several problems. There were spiderwebs on the ceiling. The phone didn't work as well as several lights in the room. On the second day my wife and I returned from going to Birmingham with our 6th month old son. We were tired and looking forward to a little nap. My wife almost fainted when she saw what was on our bed. One of the pillows on the bed that we had slept on the previous night had a pillow sheet covered in mold!!!! When I went down to the front desk to complain, they didn't seemed too suprised. Needless to say, my wife and I checked out of the hotel immediately. We will never stay at another Ramada hotel!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 31Great place for the money
We needed a place that would accept pets and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised- everything is well-kept, though a little worn, clean and comfortable. Very close to the U of A.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 31Rude Staff and Manager
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL to anyone.... This hotel debited my credit card for amounts that I was not aware of and then refused to call me back to explain what it was for. The "manager" is ALWAYS in a meeting when I try to call and get answers. If you want peace of mind of knowing what you are paying for then DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 31Terrible Experience
My room had an outdoor entrance and the door was ajar when i went to put my bags down. The front desk seemed irritated that i had asked for another room and instead offer to walked up to the room with me to ensure there was no one lurking in it! Later that night there was a disturbance in the parking lot outside my room, when i went tried to contact the front desk to alert them, the phone in the room did not work. I ended up using my cell phone to dial the front desk, who did not address the problem at all. When giving this same feedback at check out the following morning, the staff was dissmissive and did not even offer an apology. I travel for business every other week, this is by far the worst hotel experience i have ever had. They did not seem to care in the least about the safety of a female traveling alone.
