Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 16Hotel needs much improvment
I was extreamly dismayed by the pool, it was over chlornated and the paint was chipping off. We were all covered in paint flakes after swimming. The main reason for choosing this particular hotel was to use the indoor pool. We upgraded so we could get an adjoing room and the price was definatly not worth it. The door to our room looked like it had been broken into because there was a big chunk missing by the lock. One of the TV's had a long grove where a ciggartte had melted it. Two of the beds had linnens with ciggarette burns in them. I would not ever recomend this hotel nor will I ever stay there again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 16Met Expectations
Hotel has seen better days. Smoke free rooms still had scent of smoke on bed linens. Above average bath towels and shower heads. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Service was excellant and friendly.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 16Good Choice!
We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very accomodating and nice to work with. The hotel was clean. They also have a very good resturant right in the hotel which makes it very nice when you arrive late.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 16Lots of "bang for the buck"
After reading some of the other reviews before my stay, I was apprehensive about it. It took me about 30 seconds to check in! Not 20 minutes. The restaurant was great! The hot tub..wonderful! The indoor pool was the perfect temperature. The outdoor pool was open. It was a little chilly but..HELLO! It was Michigan on Labor Day weekend. It's not a fancy place and could stand some renovations. Particularly, the outdoor pool. However, I was quite satisfied. This hotel cost $4 more per night than a hotel adjacent to it with no pool, restaurant or fitness room. You can't beat that!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 16Nice Free Breakfast
My family and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We also liked how they provided an indoor and outdoor pool. However our room's smell was hard to get used to, and the fitness room equiptment was broken. They did provide good service, and the best steak in the hotel restaurant. There isn't really a game room, just a hall of video game machines, and we never did find the pool table in the lobby. Overall, if you're just looking for a cheap place to stay it is nice, but don't expect it to be much.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 16Good Location but Needs Upgraded Badly
Good location, easy access, lots of dining and shopping choices nearby. The hotel is badly in need of an upgrade. The bathroom was very shabby. The hallways were dark and dingy. The indoor pool did not have any towels. The air conditioner did not work very well.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 16Needs Improvement
I did not look at the rating on this hotel so part of it is my own fault. It is only a 2 star and I guess that is a fair rating. The furnishings in the room were old and worn, the carpet was terrible and the shower was horrible. It was old and very uncomfortable to stay with a child.

The lobby looked nice, but once you went through the door leading to the rooms, it was an unkept motel. Most of the employees did not speak fluent English, so it was difficult to communicate. It took us about 20 minutes to check in (and we were the only ones there) and about 15 minutes to check out. To begin with, when we checked in we were told that it would be an extra $5 per room to upgrade to the renovated section with an extra sink/vanity. We fell for this and upgraded. (We had 3 rooms and one room did not have this upgrade, but they would not remove the $5 charge. Our room could have used a vacuum because it had scraps of paper, lint, and even some small toys on the floor; our bathroom light was burning out and flickered on and off; our heat was blowing out cold--after calling maintenance, it took another l hr. and 10 minutes to get heat; the side and rear of the motel parking lot looked like a ghetto; their game arcade consisted of 2 games (one was broken). The pool area had a very noisy fan. This motel was totally overpriced.
