Description
See more detailsLocation. The Ramada Plaza Doha is located in Doha, Qatar, within four kilometres of the city's traditional souks and five kilometres from the airport. The modern shopping district is less than five kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The hotel has an impressive modern lobby in the east wing, with vaulted ceilings and striking red-glass bubble chandeliers. The west wing lobby is more traditional, with plush leather seating and oil paintings. The 11-storey building has a gift shop, a hairdresser, an ATM, a florist and its own nightclub. Limousines are provided by the hotel for visiting nearby attractions.
With 20 restaurants and bars there is plenty to choose from, including a champagne and caviar bar, a swim-up poolside bar, a specialist steak restaurant, a Japanese sushi bar, an Italian pizzeria and a fine- dining restaurant.
Full business services are available, with space for up to 600 delegates, secretarial services and audiovisual equipment.
The Cabana Health Club offers tennis, badminton and squash courts, fitness equipment and aerobics classes. A sauna, steam room and massage treatment rooms are also available. Outside, there is a pool and terrace area with a heated spa and a splash pool for children.
Guestrooms. The 584 air-conditioned guestrooms are designed according to specific themes. Japanese rooms are minimalist and stylish, while Arabic rooms feature sumptuous fabrics. All have satellite television, complimentary newspapers, Egyptian cotton bedding and pillow menus. Marbled bathrooms feature complimentary designer toiletries and bathrobes.
Expert Tip. Consumption of alcohol is not widely permitted in Qatar and is usually limited to luxury hotels. Most women wear the abaya robe to cover their hair and faces - it is advisable to cover hair, arms and legs when visiting local attractions.
