Very convenient!

Transportation from FLL to the hotel took a great deal of time since we circled at least 3 times for some people who couldn't manage to find the correct stop. Shuttle to the cruise pier was perfect - we were scheduled to leave at 11:00 am and were on the way 5 minutes prior. The breakfast was okay but they ran out of many items. The hotel is old and dated but, for the money and conveniece, it was a great place to stay.

Just what we needed

The hotel provided us with a nice room for one night that was close to the airport. As a bonus, the Tiki Bar was great and we had a lot of fun.

lousy restaurant

This hotel is not the same business as the restaurant accessed only through the hotel and the pool bar. They do not accept room charges, the food is poor in both quality and cooking. Sign said to wait for seating, but the waitress just gestured with her head towards a booth (that was already in use). I waited and she finally said sit anywhere. Instead of giving me the lunch menu, she gave me the bar menu (I did not know the difference till I went out to the bar by the pool later.) by 2pm on Sunday they had already run out of bacon for their potato skins, club sandwich, etc. (She ran through a list of unavailable). I ordered a cold turkey san. which they said was real turkey, not pressed roast (but it was a pressed turkey breast) it came warm, even the lettuce was warm and the "butter" melted. The next morning I saw the "butter": a large white tub with white something in it that had a "butter" sign on a stick. (probably 90% margerine according to smell). Buffet was sticky buns, toast, p-nut butter, cereal. uggh. I tried to eat at the airport, but their "restaurant" was a donut store with scrammbled egg bagels. The shuttle bus is by appointment only, every hour, but the drivers were very nice. The sleep number bed was a pain, you have to lie on it and guess what number for each side separatly. Guess wrong and you are in pain. I was exhausted from moving from side to side.

Good Location, Great Breakfast, Clean Room

This is an older motel (1973) but kept-up very well. It was clean, service was excellent, great breakfast, Tiki Bar at the pool, Indoor Bar and excellent location. This motel also has shuttle service to the Port as well as the Hard Rock Hotel.

Nice For The Money

We found this hotel to be moderate for the cost. The hotel lobby, pool, our room, resturant & outside surrounding areas were all clean and neat. The lobby staff was friendly an pleasant. We stayed one night before going on a cruise so this hotel was satisfactory. The resturant dinner menu, the food & service was also very satisfactory. If I had one complaint, it was the gentleman that seated us for the complimentary breakfast...he seemed to be alittle upset that we came 15 minutes before closing. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice and clean hotel near the Ft Lauderdale airport or Port Everglades.

Up keep needs a face lift and better control in general

Please make sure that you give an uplift to the entire hotel. Much attention is needed in the cleaning section and pool hours.

Good bargain

We were very pleased with this hotel. The only downside was that it was not in an area where you could walk if you wanted to go shopping or to an off-site restaurant. But for the service of Airport pickup and Cruise line drop off, it was great.

Outstanding Hotel

Love the hotel. The people who work there are nice. Everything about the hotel is nice. The only thing I dont like is that when you go out Friday or Saturday night and come back late you will not find parking because the people who go to the club parked everywere. and they say there is nothing they can do.

Unsatisfactory

Arrived late one friday evening.Unsavory characters in parking lot . Did not feel safe ,dispite claim by hotel of a security presence.

"Good room for the money"

We enjoyed our stay and they were great to meet us at the airport and to take us to the cruise port. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful.
