Great hotel at a great price

I received a last minute special and the hotel was great. Only downfall is there was not a complimentary breakfast like most hotels offer. Also, it was somewhat difficult to get to but excellent customer service.

Good for the $

I was happy with my overall stay. This is my second time using this hotel, and I have no complaints.

Good Value

Our room was clean and in very good condition. For the price, it was a good value. The location is convenient to downtown, but is not within walking distance of much except for a mall.

Don't go in with high expectations...

Was probably a nice hotel 20 years ago. In need of updating and infrastructure improvements. Little things like broken lamp shades, a really old TV with bad cable reception, shower head with no water pressure, broken/cracked mirrors - and that's just in the room I stayed in. One plus: Sleep Number beds. All in all, not a place I would spend more than a night, but a step up from the Motel 6's of the world. Helps that I got a room at a great discount thanks to Hotels.com.

Great room for the money

We were in Austin for a few days and staying with friends but we were also on vacation so we wanted to get a room for one night. Hotel was a great bargain and so comfortable! The sleep number beds were awesome and the linens were so clean and comfortable. The one thing that you have to careful of in Austin are the taxis. They are awful! We called four places at 2am to get back to the hotel. Two did not even answer and two kept saying 5 mins--an hour and half later I realized we could use the hotel to get us back. Don't forget you are a guest--give the hotel a call and tell them you are having trouble getting back they will help.

Great room for the money

I was a little bit disapointed I made reservation king size bed with sofa bed. I got what asked but they didn't leave any linen for the sofa bed.

Nice Hotel

Only downside was the workout gear was in poor condition. Otherwise, we enjoyed out stay.

Faded Glory

I could see how this hotel might have been nice in the past, but it is clear that it has not been maintained well. There are LOTS of obvious maintenance needs at the hotel (broken/shattered key card readers, unlockable doors, elevator issues) that should have been taken care of a long time ago. The sliding glass door on my hotel room (they boast balconies for every room) did not open as the track was worn and broken. The onsite pool (one of my deciding factors since I use the pool for fitness on the road) was FILTHY, and was not cleaned during my stay, even though I asked for it. I had also called ahead of my stay to find out if the pool was open and they said it was. Bad business, in my opinion. Overall, I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the hotel, and most certainly not recommend it to anyone. There's a Mariott not far away that is in great shape by comparison, and it costs about the same.
