Description
Location.Residence La Palmeraie is a Mediterranean-style complex located in southern Corsica on the Cote des Nacres, situated 50 metres from Solenzara village centre and 150 metres from a sandy beach. Bastia Poretta Airport is 100 kilometres away, and takes around 100 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. Guests can relax beside the outdoor pool (seasonal) while children splash about in the adjoining paddling pool. Multilingual staff at the reception desk can advise on local attractions, and there is indoor and outdoor parking (surcharge).
Apartments.There are 33 apartments, located on four floors, which feature simple, modern decor and furnished terraces. All include bathrooms, living rooms and kitchenettes with hotplates, microwaves, refrigerators and coffee machines. Cribs (infant beds) are available on request (surcharge).
Expert Tip. Foret de Bavella, 15 kilometres away, is a dense mountainous forest growing at an altitude of between 500 and 1,300 metres. It has been repeatedly damaged by fire, the worst of which was in 1960, and is now preserved as a nature reserve and well worth a visit. A hunting reserve was set up in 1950 and lucky observers may be able to catch sight of herds of wild sheep.
