Close to beach

We loved the view. Got a room on a high floor and at the end. Could see Diamond Head and the beach. Best part of the room. Block off beach.

Horrible

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpet in the room was covered in stains, the bed did not have any fitted sheets, the blankets were dirty, the shower head was so low I had to kneel down to wash my hair, no fridge, and our non smoking room smelled like smoke. The whole non smoking floor smelled like smoke.

In need of HGTV .... "renovation"

Staying in Hawaii was a great experience. The Wikii area was a convenient place to shop and a place to hit the beach. Our stay at the hotel was however, not so grand. I read a review of hearing monkey's at a near by zoo and sure enough what woke us up our first and second night .... monkey's! I had to fix the toilet each time it was flushed and the bathtub would not drain. It even had roaches. Parking is not included in the price. Overall the hotel is very outdated. It needs to be renovated and updated.

Nice Place..

Hotel had all the basic comforts. Not the fanciest, but nice environment and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was happy with my stay.

It was very convenient. Near beach and zoo.

Ok room for the money

Didn't like that we had to pay $15 per day for parking. Restaurant in the hotel could have had been food & friendly employees.

good room for the money

I was placed in a 2 twin L shaped room (dark and tiny room) and since my son couldn't make the flight, I asked for a 1 bed room which they changed without any problems. Much better over looking the park and I could see the beach beyond. The staff especially the bell boys were very helpful and friendly. Beware that if you want to change hotels or leave early there isn't a refund so plan carefully.

Great room for the money

Spent most of time on the beach... so for just a bed and a shower this room was nice price...

I LIVE IN HAWAII

THIS IS NOT A FANCY HOTEL---BUT A GREAT LOCATION ACROSS FROM THE ZOO AND A BLOCK FROM THE BEACH--CLOSE TO WAIKIKI SHOPPING

Quality Older Hotel on the edge of Waikiki

This hotel is older. It is on Kapahulu Avenue which is a few miles onto the interstate freeway. It is across from the zoo and a short 5 minute walk to the beach. If you are looking to save money, this place is worth it, especially if you're from a neighbor island.

okay place

not a bad place if you just want a room. but no free breakfast, no free wifi (its $11/day), an old tv, and local calls and coffee are not free. but simple enough of a place.

Great for the money

I got upgraded to a kitchenet when i got there. huge room, the only downside is there is no smoking even on the balcony. the tv could be bigger and newer then the one they have but overall great room, two blocks from the beach.
