The hotel is located on westport road wich is very art friendly. There was an art festival going on at the time we were there and it was amazing. There was live music and artists everywhere. There is also a good virety of food in the area. Try Jerselum Cafe its amazing! It was also within walking distance of the Nelson and the plaza. Great hotel and great people.

Trip Type: Family Review 18 of 178Good value
I'd reserved a room with a queen bed, but what they gave us was a room with a double bed and a balcony. My husband liked the balcony, but I would have preferred a larger bed. Apparently rooms with queens don't have a balcony. Next time, I'll get my queen-size bed and hubby can go downstairs and outside to smoke!

Trip Type: Family Review 19 of 178It's dirty
The carpet is very old. The bathroom is so small and dirty. Feel like an apartment you rented in college when you didn't have money.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 22 of 178Cheap and Nice
Small room, but still had room for a pullout couch, so not bad. Looks like this used to be a rundown hotel but that they have spent a lot of money renovating it. Despite that, you can still see some of the old features (some wood panelling, old bathroom fixtures). The carpet, furniture, painting and common areas are brand new and very modern and nice. I really enjoyed my stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 23 of 178Great Area, Great Service, Great Hotel!
The Q Hotel is in a fantastic area of Kansas City known as Westport. Though I didn't get to take advantage of the area because I was staying on business I intend on coming back! The Q Hotel was very clean and one of the things that impressed me the most was how modern the decor was. I was a bit worried because I forgot my own pillow, but now worries here! They provide four comfortable pillows and comfortable beds. It was a very well-kept hotel. I certainly would recommend it to anyone!

Trip Type: Business Review 24 of 178More bang for your buck
The Q Hotel easily exceeded my expectations. I expected a continental breakfast, but they had a made-to-order omelet bar, waffles, fresh fruit, etc. I expected a regular bar, but both my wife and I were given coupons at check-in for two complimentary drinks a piece! I expected a regular small hotel gym facility, but was given a free pass to the Gold's Gym right across the street. The amenities here are bizarre. They even took my wife and I out to dinner and picked us up in the hotel shuttle; and surprise surprise, that was free too. Being able to watch Sports Center and other channels on the Hi-Def flat screen TV in the room was pretty sweet too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 25 of 178Good value
We really enjoyed the location. It was convenient to the Plaza district and the Westport neighborhood had a lot of character. It had a beautiful lobby and nice hot breakfast. Our room was a little small and needed some maintenance (hole in door and broken toilet paper holder) but overall we had a pleasant stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 30 of 178Nice Hotel ,Small rooms
The stay was very enjoyable and the breakfast was delicious.I have only two complaints, the tv was very hard to work and you had to have a light switch on by the front door(I learned that later)WOW,the second, our room was really clean but very, very small.I would stay there again but ask for a bigger room if availbable.
