Trip Type: Special Event Review 16 of 99Good location, nice enough place to stay again
We went to get our son settled in as a freshman at Loyola. We went with some extra time, and found the location convenient to streetcar, school, and all the activities we chose for the few days we were there. We didn't go exclusively to the French Quarter, so we didn't want to stay where there is quite that much "action". The hotel is quiet, well enough maintained for an older place, and still conveniently located. We aren't heavy breakfast eaters, so the cold croissants and danishes didn't bother us, but they would be disappointing if one is expecting much for breakfast. We stayed in one of the rooms with a loft, and the twin beds upstairs were firm while the queen bed was luxuriously soft. (In our case, our teenage daughter stayed in the soft bed while us old folks with bad backs stayed in the loft beds). Rooms were well enough appointed and the staff very helpful. The well-lit and FREE parking lot are a definite plus.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 17 of 99Worthy of a second stay
Although I was a bit nervous about the neighborhood at first glance, I must admit that it met most of my needs. Overall the loft was spacious and the beds were comfy. Internet access in lobby and iron checkouts- very convenient! Also ery close to the steet car that runs up and down St Charles street. The air conditioner could have been a bit cooler- and it would have been nice if the room was cooled before our arrival. Downfalls- *no elevators- lots of stairs for the second floor(important if carrying lots of luggage as we women usually do) *bathtub was stained although it was clean *charge for local calls -$1 each call

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 20 of 99great place to stay
I was really bowled over when I got to this hotel. The pictures and the reviews made me interested in this hotel but I was still a little leery never seeing it before. When I got there the staff couldn't have been nicer parking was free well lit with security. The lobby was clean and bright. The court yard was clean with the foliage neat and trimmed. Tables and chairs with benches were very stylish. Then I proceed upstairs to my room with a loft when I opened the door you could of knocked me over with a feather what a beautiful, clean and well furnished room. This is an awesome place to stay would definitely recommend this property.

Trip Type: Romance Review 21 of 99Not bad for the price
This hotel is somewhat dingy and the internet didn't work inside the room, you have to go outside in order to use it. Staff was courteous and helpful, the free breakfast and free parking is a plus, and it has charm. There are lots of benches and tables for sitting outside. Extensive tv channel selection. No extras like shampoo, mouthwash, etc, but it was a very good deal for the price.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 24 of 99An Honest Opinion
Prior to staying at the Prytania Park Hotel I took the time to read some of the reviews associated with it. A total mixed bag if you ask me, with some reviews that will make you want to take your money elsewhere. I can not speak of every room the hotel has to offer, I can only speak of the room that I stayed in. A friend and I shared a contemporary double queen room, with one bed in a loft atop a spiral staircase and the other directly at the entrance. The room was as described by both the hotel site and hotels.com. As soon as you walk into the door, you are a couple of feet away from the first bed. The rooms may appear smaller when compared to most hotel rooms, but I've never been to a hotel with a bed in a loft to give a true comparison. The beds are comfortable, the A.C. works wonderfully, and the ceiling fan, is a must to use to keep the loft cool. If you are sharing a room with someone who prefers a warmer room when you prefer a cooler one, this room is perfect. You can run the A.C. without turning on the fan and the loft will stay warmer (since heat rises). I really did enjoy my stay in this room. I wouldn't share it with 4 people as the brochure suggests, but I am a big guy, and I like my space. For two people traveling, it works well. The mahogany stained doors were a nice touch and the mini fridge is great to hold your water for re-hydrating after walking or partying on Bourbon street. The staff was very pleasant, over the course of my booking I made contact with a friendly woman by the name of Judith who was very eager to help me with my booking and providing great info about the city. The other staff were helpful, one even gave us a map highlighting the good, and not so good spots to visit. I never partook of the continental breakfast; I myself am not a breakfast person so I leave that up to you. From what I saw there were croissants, raisin bran and milk, juice, and coffee. One thing I did partake of were the Jolly ranchers that were kept out throughou

Trip Type: Family Review 25 of 99Great Hotel for Cruisers
Convenient location to the Cruise Terminal. Easy access to the St. Charles streetcar for the French Quarter, and far enough away from there, if you don't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We liked having the continental breakfast in the courtyard out in the open air. I liked sleeping in the loft, but it was early enough in the year, so it wasn't too hot. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 27 of 99This is the only hotel in N.O.L.A. I will stay in from now on!!!
I have been on many trips to New Orleans over the last 6 years and haven't found another hotel I would rather stay in. The street car is right around the corner, the hotel itself is easy to find, (which if you have ever been to N.O. before you know that's a big deal) and the staff was the absolute best!!! They were so helpful and courteous, offering to book any reservations we wanted, giving us maps of the city, and the security guard even carried our bags to our room. The parking was free and there is 24 hr security. Our room had an upstairs loft with a queen sized bed, the room was in excellent repair, and the hotel was just beautiful. We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and will definately be staying there from now on. I have stayed in hotels as expensive as $400 per night and was far less satisfied with the room and service.

Great location 1 block of St. Charles and street car line. Several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Cozey Antebelum feel. True New Orleans flavor and style. Will certainly return.

Trip Type: Romance Review 30 of 99Prytania Park Hotel
I have stayed at the Prytania Park Hotel several times and it's always the same. The staff is very friendly, room clean and hotel is very quite. Rooms are not large but they are comfortable. Location is great for me. Garden District is down the street and a short drive to French Quarter. Several nice restuarants in the area.
