We stayed at this hotel because of the rave reviews. However, we had a very different experience. While the hotel lobby was very nice, on closer examination we noticed a lack of cleanliness. The hotel elevator was dirty as was our room. The room TV didn't work properly (and don't expect a flat screen). The bed was "lumpy." There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. If you regularly stay at the Hyatt or even the Holiday Inn Express, as we do, you probably won't be happy with your experience here.

Nice hotel, but...

The hotel and room itself was very nice. There was an "Adult"video store right next store, which put the neighborhood into question, but as it turned out the neighborhood was fine. The breakfast was very minimal. We were commuting to Oregon State Univ. and it was not convenient for that reason.

Excellent value and comfort at a great price

I really enjoyed my stay at the Phoenix. I was there for a week and the staff was terrific. Breakfast was good, although I would have liked a few more wheat-free items, but still good. Coffee was fresh and good every day. My room was very large and comfortable. The wireless worked great and I was able to work at a comfortable desk with lots of room. I would have liked stronger lightbulbs. Despite that, I would stay again and plan to next year.

Wonderful Hotel

Rooms are neat, clean and good sized. The included breakfast is fabulous with a make your own waffle station that the children love. The service is first rate, people are polite and extremely helpful. I've stayed at this hotel 3 different times now and it has always been top notch!

Nice pool

We had a good stay at this hotel, which was very clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was a hit with my daughter.

What a Value!

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel as a last-minute idea to get out of the unusual 100 degree temperatures we were experiencing in Oregon. We'd never stayed in Albany and didn't know anything about the area. What a nice surprise! I wasn't expecting much considering the extremely reasonable rates, but the hotel far exceeded our hopes! The lobby looked nice and recently decorated, breakfast included hot food and our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a leather sofa, plenty of pillows and towels and the lady at the front desk was more than helpful with restaurant suggestions. We'll stay again or recommend to family/friends! Thanks for a great mini-escape!

good hotel for the buck

slightly far from downtown but next to highway. slightly noisy on one side. but got transfert to another room next morning.4-5f deep swimingpool is nice with bubble bath. I will be back there if need to stay around.
