    Pros: very clean. Desk staff reasonably friendly. Beds OK for comfort at this price. Has balconies, if small, for practically every room. Cons: Breakfast (14 euros) not included in price, but it's very hard to find cheaper in town when nothing's open until 10 AM on a Sunday. Need a car to reach Eisenach or the Wartburg, as this hotel is not on a bus line. Parking often full at night. Laughs: Feels like a 21st century update on 1970s kitsch in colors, furniture, frills and lighting. Front door window and hallways have a fascination for disco balls that turn on at night. Definitely not a quaint German hotel. ;-)

    Personally I like that this hotel is outside of downtown Eisenach. It is near the Opel plant, but also near a beautiful small town and river, great for bike riding, joging, or walking.

Location. The pentahotel Eisenach is located in Eisenach, Germany, within two kilometres of Eisenach city centre and the railway station, and four kilometres from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Wartburg. The nearest bus station is 250 metres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. This contemporary hotel offers complimentary parking and is a good base to explore the historic city of Eisenach. Staff at the all-hours front desk can provide concierge services and safe-deposit boxes for valuables.

The pentahotel Eisenach has a modern restaurant on site, where national and international dishes are served. In summer guests can use the terrace which overlooks the Thueringer Wald forest and the castle. The hotel bar specialises in Italian coffee.

There are five conference rooms in the hotel, catering for up to 200 delegates.

pentahotel Eisenach includes a fitness centre with a Finnish sauna. There is also a jogging track outside the hotel, and a path for Nordic walking. The River Werra offers canoeing, and Golf Club Eisenach is five kilometres from the hotel.

Guestrooms. The 138 guestrooms are decorated in light natural colours with modern wooden furniture. French windows offer views of the surrounding countryside, and bathrooms have shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. Expert Tip. The Luther House, 2.5 kilometres from the hotel, is one of the oldest remaining buildings in Eisenach that is built in half- timber style. It is named after Martin Luther who lived here during his time at school.
