Very Good Accommodations, With Two Exceptions

My friend and I, who had two separate rooms on the third floor, found the staff to be cordial and helpful and the general accommodations were very pleasant. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. However, we both had problems adjusting the heating system which blew air that was either too cold or too hot. I set my controls on "low fan," and since it was not a very cold night, that was fine once I was under the covers. My friend however, has asthma and the continuous exchange of hot and cold air caused him to have breathing problems. The other unfortunate matter was that late at night the third floor hallway smelled like a smoky pool hall. Either the smoke from the fourth floor (smoking floor) was seeping down, or we had some neighbors on our floor who were smoking heavily. Both of us are sensitive to smoke and found this to be unacceptable. The smell did not permeate our rooms so we decided not to call the desk to report the situation, but noted that we would include this information in our review. I might stay here again in the future--on a different floor--but my friend would prefer to stay elsewhere. With just a little additional attention I think this hotel could be top notch for the money. And again, the staff was great.

OK hotel

If you aren't looking for a top line hotel, just a place to sleep and shower, it's ok. Staff was very cordial. No real complaints, nothing spectacular though.
