The air conditioner smelled awful and had this brown, gelatinous slime collecting in the front (not to mention the huge spider living inside it). It was so discusting we took we took pictures. The filter was so dirty we could not even see the filter itself. The closet floor was wet and smelled even worse than the air conditioner. It had obviously been wet for a while. We called the front desk and they told us that maintenance had left for the day. They never checked back or came to our room to fix the problem. There was also another huge spider in the plastic liner for the ice bucket (we took pictures of that, too). The door to our room was not properly sealed so we could smell cigarette smoke from the parking lot coming right through the cracks. I am very allergic. One major problem was also the two missing blinds on the window by the closet, which turned out to be a major privacy issue. I almost didn't notice that they were missing because it was so far in the corner. I may be paranoid but it looked like they were missing on purpose because if someone was looking in they could not only see right into the bathroom, but also see the entire room (including the bed)in the reflection from the mirrored closet door. It made me very nervous. We hung a robe over the opening an it seemed to work. As we were leaving our room we saw the maintenance man and told him about the room. He thanked us and said he would look at it right away. We actually watched him go straigt to the room and go inside. Hopefully something has been done. The continental breakfast was well maintained and the woman in charge was very polite and efficient. Also, the woman from housekeeping who came to our room was very sweet. My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary so we tried not to complain too much and let the hotel ruin our trip. Since we had already called the front desk and they didn't help us we made the best of it, but we were very disappointed.
