Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 751A Fine Value
The hotel was in a great location. Close to Central Park and the location was fairly quiet for New York City. It was clean and much more spacious than I expected for a hotel in the city. It was a non-smoking hotel and they took care of any smoking issues asap. The staff were really helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 751Great location, bad accomodations
The location can't be better! Close to Hell's Kitchen, Broadway Shows, quick trip to Javits etc, but the room was very very old, the mattresses noisy, the bathroom curtains and sink had mildew. Even the towels were not soft, so if you are looking for comfort,I would not recommend it.

I only stayed for one day on a business trip, but wished I could stay the whole weekend! I will definitely check availability here when I come back!

We have stayed here several times. It is clean, quiet, well located and priced appropriately. It's beginning to look a little shopworon,,,,but not enough to avoid the hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 751Fantastic Hotel, will stay again!
Our weekend in NYC was fantastic thanks to a great hotel. Location was PERFECT, 5 blocks from Times Square, 5 blocks from Central Park. The room was quite comfortable, beds were clean and comfy, a corner room with a great view. The staff was super helpful, set up a cot for us. There is a nice bar/restaurant in the lobby, we didn't go it, but very convienient. The valet parking took my car for 24 hours is was 39$ extra, well worth it! When we checked out we were able to toss our bags in the car and leave it while we walked around the city. A GREAT Place to stay!!!!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 751Not bad for the price, but low on Customer Service
The staff at The Park Central do very little to ensure their guests feel well cared for. --They charge $3.75 per bag to store a bag in their luggage room --They knocked on my door three times prior to the check out time to see if I was ready to leave my room. The truth is, I would have left my room sooner had I not been required to pay to leave my bad in the luggage room. --The front desk staff, though professional, could certainly not be considered warm, friendly or the least bit accommodating. Two other quick points... 1.) The elevators are incredibly slow. I waited for 7 minutes for an elevator 2.) The towels in the room are pretty bad.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 751Efficient and friendly staff -- nice space too!
I took a chance on this hotel and I'm so glad I did. I saved almost $100 per night stay over the hotel my conference was being held at across town. My room was larger, the hotel staff was much friendlier, and I enjoyed a nice walk in the city each day. Convenient location, plus subway entrance right outside! The staff was responsive too! I was greeted by a pleasant doorman, a very cordial and service minded front desk associate, and nice service in the lobby bar. When I called to let them know the alarm clock/dock was missing its AC adapter, the guest response team member said she'd have someone up shortly to take of it. Sure enough, about 5 - 10 minutes later a nice gentleman brought me another clock. About 10 minutes after that, I received a follow-up phone call from the guest response team member that took my initial call. She just wanted to make sure that I had been taken care of and that the issue was handled promptly and correctly. How's that for service and care...in Manhattan! I would stay here again. Only down side...I think they should pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the coffee maker...not just the pot, but the water tank, etc...I decided to pass on making a pot of coffee or hot water for tea. Also, the sheer curtains above the air conditioner unit definitely needed a wash. But everything else in the place was nice and clean, and the bed was comfy too. Loved the nice tub and shower space too!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 751Very noisy
The noise at the Park Central New York was incredible. There was a night club right outside of the hotel that was so loud until about 4:30am, then all the drunken people came out. If you need sleep, this is NOT the hotel to visit on the weekends!

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 751Just o.k.
The room and amenities were just fine. Location was great. The one thing that tipped me in the direction of not recommending was service. The hair dryer in my room did not work. It took them just over 20 minutes to bring me a hair dryer. The luggage check seemed lethargic. We waited for checking and picking up on the day of check out and they charged $3.75 per bag. We stayed at a place the next 2 days where the service for everything was very quick and efficient, nightly price was slightly lower and there were no additional charges.
