Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 313Nice place for the price
The Parc St Charles is an older hotel that's showing some of it's age. Although the carpets were worn and the furniture was old, the bathroom fixtures were new, the room was large, clean and quiet. I especially like the central air conditioning. After suffering through the noisy window unit at my last hotel it was a treat. Don't expect a clear television picture but you're only four blocks from the French Quarter. Who needs TV. Sure, it's not the best but for the price it's hard to beat in New Orleans.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 313WOW! Very impressed!
After reading the reviews on this website I expected a lower-class hotel, but at the price I paid for this hotel I gladly accepted it. Walking in the front door the staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. We entered our room and were shocked. High cielings, very clean, and a great view! Not to mention, it's a 5-10 minute walk to Bourbon Street, the casino, the river, Canal Street, as well as many many restaurants. Their location, as well as their room, was top notch. I had the most amazing weekend and staying in Parc st. Charles played a huge role in that! I would DEFINITELY stay here again, as well as recommend it to friends.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 313I will definitely stay here again !!!
I highly recommend this hotel !!! It was very reasonably priced. The room was big and spacious as well as cozy. The bathroom was clean as well. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to the French Quarters and right by the St. Charles Street Car stop. The staff was also friendly. The only snag we ran into was the fact that the TV was broken, but we were hardly in the room so it wasn't an issue. They have valet parking that costs you about $22 a night and it is 24 hour service. They were really quick about getting our vehicle. The cool thing about the valet parking was that it ended at 4 PM even though we had to check out of the hotel by 11 AM. The front counter put our luggage in a locked closet while we went around the French Quarter after checking out and our car was still valet parked, which saved us on additional parking. I was very impressed with this hotel and for the amount that I paid, I was extremely pleased. I will definitely stay here again if I am ever in the New Orleans area.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 313Could be better
Location Location Location. Great walk to Canal, Bouborn St. and the Quarter. Friendly staff. Nice little resturant. All the things you need to survive. Now if you want extra's you may want to stay somewhere else. This hotel is hard core. Really used for a good poo poo, shower and shave. I stayed there with my cousin and he liked it. But it was his 1st time in New Orleans. I wish the room was better. But for the price, it wasn't too bad. Can't really beat the location. Valet parking was nice, but don't ask for something if you leave it in your car. Make certain you get everything out of you vehicle before handing over the keys. ha ha ha. But they take good car of your car. At least they did mine justice. Overall..... a weak 3 star.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 313Great Value
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We were only in town for one night due to a changed itinerary on a cruise and this hotel was great. The staff was very helpful with directions and helped us with transportation to and from the airport. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The tub was slow to drain but it was clean.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 313Good Room for Money - Clean , & Good Location!
The hotel exterior and lobby are not in perfect shape (older building/furniture), but the room and bathroom was clean and in good shape. Not a lot of frills at this hotel, but for the money it was very good. I saved a lot of money by staying here and was really happily surprised by the room/bathroom condition. On par with a Motel 8 or Best Western on the Interstate I'd say. It is a fine hotel for budget conscious travelers, especially if you don't plan to spend your trip in the room.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 313not what it seems to be!
The elevater took about 10-20 min to get to your floor everytime you use it. we had a smoking room and there were no ash trays when we requested them they said to "just ash in a cup" one of the beds were broken. they left my car on the side of the road for three hours before parking it but still charged me for the time it wasnt in the parking garage. the bath tub was disgusing the no slip rug was coming up and leaving gross stuff underneeth, hardly any warm water or water pressure! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 313Can't beat it for the price
The hotel was convienent. The walk to Bourbon Street was not far. The streets were busy even at 3 am so I wasn't really afraid to walk to or from the hotel. The parking isn't all that convienent. The hotel does have valet parking but its expensive. There is a paid parking area about a block from the hotel that wasn't too inconvienent. I was expecting a room with two beds but ended up having only one King size bed, but because of the price we made do. Overall, very satisfied with the hotel. I have stayed in worse for more.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 313Needs improvement
Was told we had a queen-size bed. The bed was a 54" standard double-bed! Half the light bulbs in the room were burned out, and we were told the hotel did not have any replacement bulbs. We requested extra pillows, and were told there were no extra pillows available.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 313adequate for short stay
Right on the St Charles trolley line, so fairly convenient. Hotel was run-down, carpets stained and bed very soft, which for me was so uncomfortable I had to get off and sleep on the floor. But bathroom was reasonably clean and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. If you just need to crash for a night, it's OK.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 313You have to pay for parking.
The hotel did not list parking prices on-line. This hotel only offers valet that you have to pay for daily. Prices are the same you would pay at any other hotel. The other option is parking several blocks away in any lot you can find, then carrying our bags back to the hotel. Plan to factor parking into the price of your stay if you choose this hotel. Other than that, nice place and a good location.
