    It is far away from everything and everything there costs money. Your room won't even get cleaned unless you pay a bunch extra. The pools are dirty and the staff is few and far between.

Location. Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club is located on the edge of a tropical rain forest reserve in Kewarra Beach, Australia, five kilometers from Palm Cove beaches and city center.

Hotel Features. Boasting a challenging 18-hole golf course, Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club also includes a freeform outdoor pool with a large landscaped sun deck, tennis courts and bicycle rentals. Great Barrier Reef and rain forest tours pick up guests at the resort. Dining options include Palms Restaurant and Bar, which serves breakfast and lunch, and dinner Wednesday through Sunday. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and golf course, sea, garden and rain forest views. Piazza Terrace offers alfresco dining and the same combination of views. The resort also offers business services and conference rooms. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas. Guest parking is complimentary. Pets are not permitted at the resort.

Guestrooms. Apartment-style guestrooms in the three-story, 96- room resort include balconies, washers and dryers, ceiling fans and air conditioning. Rooms also offer cable television, pay movies, wireless Internet access for a fee, direct-dial phones, safes and irons and ironing boards.

Expert Tip. The resort is located at the edge of Kuranda Forest Reserve, a tropical rain forest containing a vast variety of Australian flora and fauna, from butterflies to crocodiles. The reserve is accessible, and four-wheel drive tours are a very popular activity.
