Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 69well... the owners need to come out of the 80's
I have stayed at this hotel 11 years ago NOTHING has changed. The color is the same and no upgrades have been done. Now, I will say.. for the price I'm not complaining just explaining. It appeares they are stuck in the 80's with the Pink and Green. Thank goodness for the associates they were ALL great. KUDOS to them... for an Ocean Front room the price was great. PLEASE PUT NEW CARPET IN...

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 69Great location!
This hotel is right on the beach and you can't beat it for the price! Every room has an oceanfront view! Breakfast in the morning is decent. The staff is accommodating. The pool and deck are nice. The hot tub is somewhat out of date, but soothing. It is a great beach access point and close to major roads that run through Daytona Beach. It is in a very convenient location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 69Very Nice Hotel
After reading all of the negative reviews we were a bit skeptical. However, after showing up and seeing the hotel, I couldnt understand all the negative comments. The lobby was very nice, the hotel employees were very nice, the room was very clean and the view on the ocean front was awesome. I will definately go back. So this place gets an A+ from us.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 69As Good As Expected
This isn't a brand new property, but for the price during an event weekend in Daytona it was quite good, and the room was clean. It seemed a little far from the action on Main St, but the oceanfront views from the rooms are worth it if you want to get just a little away from all the noise and crowds.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 69Great room for the money
We really loved the oceanfront view and to be able to sit on the balcony was nice. This hotel is quite a way from the main boardwalk where all the attractions are but as long as you have a vehicle you can just drive to the boardwalk. We were very pleased with this hotel. It had a stove, refrigerator and microwave which was very convenient. They also offered continental breakfast. The only disappointment was the $5.00 charge for parking a day. The parking should be included in with the stay and there should not be a fee for parking. When we stayed in the Tropical Winds Oceanfront hotel down the street from this one, there was no separate parking fee.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and was very surprised at the run down condition of the rooms. The carpeting was frayed and the coating on the drawers was coming off and the clothes placed in them had an order. The staff was very friendly and helpful as always but the owners need to upgrade the flooring and furniture in the rooms.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 69Good room for money, Beautiful location
After reading previous reviews, I was nervous about what I would find when I got there. The hotel is not a new hotel, but was very clean. The room's view was fantastic. In fact, we saw dolphins a couple of times in front of the hotel. The location of the hotel is south of the busy part of Daytona and was pretty quiet and not very crowded. It is also close to the pier, which has a great restaurant to eat at with amazing views of the ocean. The tiki bar is not opened very often. In fact, I believe only 1 day during my stay was there someone working it. The pool is not anything extradorinary but for the money, this was a great place to stay and I would stay there again. Oh and the contential breakfast is fine but only conists of bread, bagels, muffins, cereal, and oatmeal. Coffee and Juice are provided. I was hoping for more fruit and maybe some hot items. However, there is a stove, microwave, and refrigerator in the room. You can make anything you want up there.

We returned yesterday from a week stay at the Palm Plaza. After reading the reviews we didn't know what to expect when we arrived. Although it is your typical on the beach hotel we were comfortable there. Definately not a resort but was worth what we paid to stay. The hotel service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, we had no trouble at all. The 2 pools were great, the kids loved them!! The view from the balcony was excellent :) Our 3 rooms were clean and nothing was broken. Hotel could use a facelift soon.

Hello, my husband and I stayed last week and it was very disappointing because the hotel looks old and the sign outside is broken, the room was clean but needs a major renovation, the tiki bar was horrible old and dirty looking, no coffee machine and the the door lock we needed to try more then twice to open the door, this is our second and last staying in this hotel until we see a MAJOR renovation,please............

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 69Needs Desperate Help!
This hotel by far has been the worse hotel that I have ever stayed at..The rooms were dirty checked in the 1st room is didn't look like it had been cleaned..The second room wasn't much cleaner.I had to go purchase Clorox wipes, bleach, air freshner...The first night I had to get new sheets because they were stained..I ended up buying my own blanket and pillows becuase the pillows smelled like mildew and were horrible..The toilet broke two times and our tv was broke two times..I had to clean the tub before I would take a shower and wiped down everything with Clorox wipes..We stayed with my yr old and there were wires and cords from the lights, alarm clock, and TV cords..Not kid friendly at all. The rooms were dirty there was a band aid on the floor when we checked in our room and when we checked out 1 wk later it was still there..So much for house keeping..As far as housekeeping our lady was very rude..Never came at the same time and if you were in your room when they came to clean they were rude about that..And wanted you out ASAP! There was NO TIKI BAR and NO Gift shop..We were told that we were staying in a two room and after the fact the hotel said there was two room suites but we were told by other people that they had a 2 room suite. As far as the breakfast goes the lady running that was very rude not only to my but several other people..I talked to a lot of other people and this place is NOT what they expected nor myself..This place should be charged for fraud because it doesn't look nothing like the pictures..If I could gotten out with out losing my money I would have been gone in a second..It needs some work on the building, the pool, the deck, and the staff..This place is horrible and gross and needs some help!
