    Not only was it a wonderful hotel, the location is superb. The boat rides were right across the street (hotel faces lake), the main plaza a very short walk and lots of restaurants nearby. The train station from Malpensa Airport (to Sarano?) then Como, is also right around the corner. (There are two train stations in Como as well as Milan). You can bypass Milan Central Station by going thru Sarano (Serano?).

Location. The historic Palace Hotel on Lake Como, Italy, is located 50 metres from Como's town centre. The 13th-century palace of Broletta and Como Cathedral are 250 metres away. Bellagio town is 30 kilometres away and Milan city centre is 45 kilometres.

Hotel Features. Set in a former 18th-century palace with private gardens overlooking Lake Como, the Palace Hotel has a lift, 24-hour front desk and multilingual concierge staff.

The Palace Hotel's restaurant, Antica Darsena, serves Italian cuisine in a traditional setting with lake views. The restaurant also has a large wine cellar. The lakeside Ceccato Garden Bar in the hotel's landscaped gardens serves cocktails and snacks like Parma ham and melon. During the summer, guests enjoy drinks on the terrace. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in a room with lake views.

The hotel has five meeting rooms, wireless Internet access (surcharge) in public areas and a business centre. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby.
