Palace Hotel

Location. Situated in Helsinki city centre, the Hotel Palace is a 1950s property built in a modernist style and set on the water, overlooking the harbour. It is 500 metres from the Presidential Palace and the main shopping streets, and Helsinki Vantaa Airport (HEL) is 18 kilometres away.

Hotel Features. Built in 1952, the year of the Helsinki Olympic Games, the Hotel Palace opens into a lobby area which houses a Gin and Tonic bar. Guests can relax in the saunas, which open onto a terrace with harbour views, have drinks at the summer terrace bar, or visit the onsite hair salon. Complimentary tea is served every afternoon, and multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with sightseeing queries. Further amenities include a dry cleaning service and nearby parking (surcharge).

The Hotel Palace offers three dining options: the Palace Gourmet is a modern restaurant which serves Franco-Finnish dishes and has an extensive wine list; La Cocina is a contemporary restaurant with red and black decor, offering Spanish dishes from the Basque region and boasting an adjacent Pintxo Bar, and the Palace Cafe is a modern lunch cafe which offers drinks, snacks, and light refreshments.
