Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 60No Parking???
The hotel is situated in a great spot close to downtown. We chose it specifically for this purpose, but there was NO parking around the hotel and they said that they had a satellite lot, but we couldn't locate it and it appeared to be a good ways away. We had to pay to park in another location and then walk back to the hotel with all of our belongings. It wasn't the nicest hotel...it definitely has a hotel odor, but it is a good location if all you are planning on doing is going downtown for an event.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 60WOW.....
All I can say is wow. The location is awesome. I stayed here because it was in downtown orlando and cheapish. To go out on the town and drink its great..... The facility leaves alot to be desired. The room smelled of mold. The walls appeared to be pealing. The hallways have been patched and not even painted. The carpets have seen better days... Overall i would recommend it if you are going to get drunk and just need a place to crash. Not exactly the honeymoon sweet.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 60Great Room For The Money
The hotel is older, but for the price and comfortable bed and cleanliness, can't beat it. I am going to stay there again on my next trip to Orlando.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 60If you want to be in downtown Orlando on the cheap, this is the place!
First off I will admit, this ain't the Ritz.... but the location, two blocks north of Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, is perfect if you are partying downtown. The rooms do have burn holes in the blankets, worn out and stained towels, and the hall carpeting looks like it almost survived a Boone's Farm convention held in it. BUT our room had features important to us in addition to its great location: excellent wireless internet, coffee maker and supplies, microwave & dorm refrig, quiet efficient A/C, and our own balcony. These features are rarely found in hotels in the price category anywhere around Disney World. We walked the few blocks to Lake Eola for the Fourth of July festivities and enjoyed everything thoroughly; in fact, if you get a room on the south side, you can see the event from your balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a small pool along the south side.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 60Dirty and smelly
This place had a terrible smell at the lobby. The stairs and hall were really dirty and smelly. Fortunately the room did not smell a lot like cigars, but it did have some other smell that I prefer not to mention. The sheets were overused and I had the feeling that they were not washed after the previous guest. Finally, the bathroom had mold and was not properly cleaned. What a messy hotel, will never rent it again!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 60Long Wait
I decided to book this hotel because of it's closeness to the Amway Arena and the price. For the price of the hotel, the room was spacious and very clean. The hallways have a funky smell to them and everything is kind of bland. On the upside, they have a coffee maker in your room and there is a diner next door with a 10% off discount to quests with the hotel. The only way I was very dissatisfied was the fact that it took 3 hours for our room to be ready, but that is only because me and my friend went during American Idol auditions so it was understandable. Overall, a 4 out of 5.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 60Exceeded expectations
Prior reviews on this site complained about the quality of the hotel interior (ie, was outdated or unclean) so we booked the hotel with those expectations. Our room was very clean and it looked like the hotel got a renovation since the reviews were posted--don't expect much, after all, it is a budget hotel. But our king room was spacious, quiet and comfortable so we were very happy with it. We brought our dog because this hotel is pet friendly. We were booked next to a room with a couple of dogs that barked a few hours but they left the the next day and for the rest of the stay you could hear a pin drop in the hallways. Whenever we needed something (towels, iron, etc) it was brought up within five minutes. Free parking. Free Wi-Fi. Very close (2-3 blocks, so a very short walking distance) to bars and restaurants on Orange Ave. Also located on a bike path along E. Livingston St. that hooks up to the Caty Way (if you bring your bike with you and feel like a ride which we did). Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would definitely stay again based on this trip.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 60What you pay for..
Rooms were ok, mostly clean and comfortable and convenient to downtown. However the lobby is dated (big deal) but the hallways are stained, dirty, beat to hell and back and smelly. Once you are in your room.. it's fine and it's a great price to be so convenient to downtown but it borders on place you don't wanna be. The Diner next door is wonderful for breakfast and lunch...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 60Can't beat the price or location
We recently stayed here to attend a Fleetwood Mac concert at the Amway Arena. The location was blocks away and we took the free bus to the show and a rickshaw on the way back! The Hotel staff was very helpful in arranging both for us. The Hotel was cleaner, neater and in better condition than expected from other reviews. We were very pleased. There is a diner next door we had breakfast at ( with our Hotel discount) and the stay was perfect and complete!
