Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 728Not worth a 4 star!
After reading previous reviews, I had mixed feelings, and ended up being unpleasantly disappointed. The TV wasn't working. I called the front desk 3 times, and each time they said they would send someone to fix it. No one ever showed up. The minibar wouldn't open...even after they told me to push the buttons on the side. The view was terrible, but it's NYC, so I can live with that. The hotel advertises bath robes, and there were barely enough towels, let alone robes. I asked to be moved to another room and was told there was no other room in the entire hotel. The concierge is only open during the day, even on a holiday weekend. I complained to the manger at checkout and all she did was to thank me for letting her know. The best thing about the hotel was the view from the rooftop terrace and the friendly front desk staff. Not worth the 4th star by any means.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 728No complaints! Would definitely stay again.
I really can't think of anything negative to say! The price was very reasonable, the decor classy and modern, and the room was similar to a normal "non-NYC" hotel room in size. The concierge was extremely helpful each time we had a question. In fact, all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will stay here for sure the next time we visit NYC. Thanks for a very pleasant stay!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 728Great location
Great location: upper West side restaurants, neighbohoods, Central Park and museums. Good service, nice balcony.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 728Great hotel once they moved us to another room
Very friendly hotel and great location however I would not recommend the standard room. The smallest room we have ever stayed in while in NY with a view of a brick wall. The TV was broken so they moved us to a different room that was larger and much better.

Totally best deal in the best neighborhood. Friendly, easy, bigger than average NY hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 728What a RIPOFF!
For the rate I paid and the previous reviews I expected this to be a pretty nice hotel...it was not. Once I got into my room I noticed the TV did not work. I called the front desk to inform them and they said "yes we know the TV doesn't work in that room sorry...and we are totally booked so we have no other rooms" Fine, I can live without TV...but the room was very hot so went to turn on the air...that didn't work either nor did the wall mount hair drier. When I called down about the air I was told to open a window. This place is just a bad hotel in a pretty good location.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 728Great place to stay
This hotel is great--the people, the neighborhood, the balconies. My only complaint is the bed, it was extremely hard, I had to line up three decorative pillows and sleep on them to get kind of comfortable. Aside from that, I loved it and will probably go right back the next time.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 728nice boutique hotel
Terrific hotel for the price. I love the upper west side. If you are looking for Times Square, this might be a little out of the way, but it's convenient to the subway and I like staying in a somewhat quieter neighborhood. I've stayed here several times before- always winds up a good value for my business trips. Hallways need new carpets, and the rooms are small, but that applies to most NY hotels. Bathroom was clean, but bath grout lines could have been better- a cleaning with bleach is in order. But nothing more than I've experienced at most other hotels. Funky decor. Since I spent most of my time outisde, the ultra-modern bathroom was fine. Bed was comfy.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 728Perfect location, quiet and safe area,
We found the hotel to be very clean, neat from the lobby to the room. Only two blocks to nearest subway. Quiet @ night
