Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 121Rooms Great But Don't Eat Here
I have to admit, my room was spacious and clean. The hotel overall is a beauty, although somewhat worn--jazz in the lobby during the weekend was a big plus. But the surrounding Pittsburgh is dead after 5pm so you must do your research to find decent food and drink--to which their was little. The hotel food, on the other hand, was mediocre at best. I ordered in room service twice and both times the food was substandard--my personal pizza needed to be cooked more and was just visually unappealing, and a lunch I ordered (seared tuna sandwich with homemade potato chips) was oversalted to the point where I couldn't eat it. Better to find food outside of the hotel--if you can! Concierge was very helpful but still--the food in PITT was found lacking in all areas!

Not at all worth the money. Very average amenities and overall shoddy look.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 121Outstanding Hotel- need more local maps from hotel
Great downtown location. The hotel is within walking distance of Station Square with plenty of nearby restaurants. The only drawback is that the restaurants close to the hotel are only open during the business week. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We are originally from the area, so we have a great perspective on coming back as visitors. We came back for a weeding at Hienz Chapel in Oakland. I can suggest that a detailed map of Pittsburgh would be helpful to out of the are visitors, as Pittsburgh is very difficult to find your way around if you are not familiar with the area. Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 121Historical but Comfortable
This is a great place to stay if you really want to see all that Pittsburgh's downtown has to offer. You can walk anywhere; The cultural district, the strip district, Macy's, Lord & Taylor... Our room was small but clean and comfortable. So many old, "historic" hotels are really shabby but the Omni William Penn is exceptionally nice. The staff was fantastic. The food and drinks at the pub on site weren't over priced. I would definitely stay again.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 121Beautiful historic hotel
We looked for a convenient hotel that was centrally located for a weekend in Pittsburgh. This hotel filled the bill. The architecture was beautiful (lots of crwon moulding), the staff was friendly and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 121Wonderful Stay
The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Seriously, if it would have fit in my luggage, I would have taken it home with me. I plan to stay at the Omni William Penn again and just stay in bed from check-in until check-out. The staff was also great. They were able to accommodate a last-minute request (made the morning of my arrival) for room service upon check-in and everything was wonderful. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and efficient service.
