Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 139Perfect in almost every way
Can't say enough about the Omni. Located adjacent to Petco Park and is a great spot to catch a bite or a beverage before or after. Rooms offered stunning view and were luxurious. Parking lot is directly across street for small fee, but beware that you have to pay again if you plan on taking car out to sightsee. Only improvement in room that is needed is the "japanese style" sliding bathroom door that doesn't entire block out your fellow guests from peeking in. Other than that, I can't not recommend highly enough.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 139Nice Hotel, Staff not friendly
The hotel is very nice and situated in a great location of the Gaslamp Quarter. The desk staff was not warm, friendly or inviting. When I checked out, the desk clerk did not even thank me for staying with them! He just printed out the bill, handed it to me and said, "Here you go" and walked away! The valets were great, however! Gave me water and brought the car around very quickly! I would stay again as long as I lower my expectations of the desk clerk staff and can get a low room rate like I did w/Hotels.com. I would not pay regular rates

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 139Disappointed with the room
There were many things about this hotel that I liked, like the quick access to Petco Park and the baseball memorabilia displayed on the walls. The service exceeded our expectations- they delivered chocolate chips cookies and milk for our baby at night, and someone came by asking us if we'd like our beds turned down. However, as far as the room, we were disappointed. We paid extra for the premium room with a king sized bed, and were surprised at how small it was. The decor was very simple and the view from the room overlooked the street below and some other hotels. The noise outside was loud, but the hotel does provide ear plugs in the nightstands. The bathroom door consisted of a sliding panel with frosted glass that was about 2 inches too narrow...which meant that anyone could see into the bathroom even with the door closed. There was also urine stains on the toilet and the room smelled like it hadn't been aired out in days. When we asked for another room, they apologized and gave us a cleaner room exactly like the first, only it reeked of cigarette smoke. Once again, we asked for another room. This time, they gave us a room overlooking the water and the pool below. It was much nicer, and the doors to the bathroom could actually slide completely shut. This bathroom, however, had these openings covered by wooden shutters that could open and close. It meant that anyone in the room could open the shutters and look into the bathroom. I'm sure it was suppose to be a nice decorative detail, but it was also a little disturbing. Would I ever stay there again? No.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 139Convenient for Ballgame lovers
The overpass to Petco park was a pleasant surprise and the most convenient ammenity when going to a ball game. Aside from the great food in the hotel there are so many restaurant options within a few blocks. I would recommend the Omni to everyone!

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 139Excellent stay
Wonderful property, location etc, etc. We just had a bit of a problem sleeping but it was personal preference...the bed was a bit soft. Would highly recommend!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 139Best I have stayed to date in US
Honestly, the pictures on the website do not do justice to the lustre and ambience of this hotel. Great location, great stay. Well planned rooms and great staff. Every staff member I met was courteous and helpful, from the conceigre's desk to the cleaning lady.

They spoke of a great room they had instore for me, it turned out to be the worst room in the building. Valet had me walk to my car a block away (Whats that for service?)

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 139smokey room
The room was nice and comfortable. Very expensive, and when we closed the slider we smelled cigarette smoke the entire time we were there. This was supposed to be a non smoking room, on a non smoking floor.
