Trip Type: Romance Review 17 of 68Great Location, Good Price
This hotel was a good price for the great location. Decor and service typical of what you expect from an Omni. Unfortunately, I have to give a rating of '2' for room comfort. The air conditioner just could not compete with the New Orleans heat. We had a very warm room each day and all through the night. Also, the shower door only covers half of the tub and so half of the water ends up on the bathroom floor leaving a very slippery marble surface. Location made up for these issues, though.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 18 of 68Not usual Omni quality
If you are expecting decent size rooms or a microwave... not here. The rooms were very small, no microwave, tiny fridge, shower door only cover half the shower so the whole time your in the shower your trying to figure out how not to get water splashed all over the floor that you cant even just enjoy standing there after a long day. You do however get premium channels and the location is smack dab in the middle of the convention center and superdome. If staying awhile i would stay somewhere else. For one night, it would be okay.

This hotel was clean, quiet, and great for the money. I will definitely stay here again if I go to New Orleans again. The location is excellent also.

Great hotel for price and lcoated adjacent to French Quarter within walking distance. Will use this hotel on next visit. Close to French Quarter, but far enough away for good night's sleep.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 21 of 68Great Hotel!
I can't say enough good things about the Omni Crescent. We got a discounted rate here on hotels.com (we stayed on a week night)and they gave us a double King suite! We had so much space to move around. Plus it was raining when we got there and the desk clerk gave us umbrellas so we could walk to the Quarter. If you want a really, really nice hotel for a decent price with little harrasment from the staff (i.e. obnoxious bell boys and valets)this is your place! The staff was there to help if we needed anything, but not in our face trying to provide services we didn't need. They have a quaint sundeck with a spa and fitness center on the 6th floor (which was quiet and nice if you smoke or just want to unwind a bit before bed). The beds were very comfortable, so were the pillows, and they offer free wifi whereas other hotels of this calibur usually charge. Parking was a little over $20 but completely worth it considering the low rate and parking hassle of downtown New Orleans. Will definately stay here next time we visit.

This hotel was attractively priced and in a great location. We were able to park on the street and left the car there until we left for home. The room was clean & staff was accomodating. I would stay there again & would recommend it to friends.

This hotel in in the heart of New Orleans with cobble stone streets and everything you would want in an old southern city. I loved every minute of it!

Trip Type: Romance Review 24 of 68Pleasantly Surprised
I was afraid that the pictures on the website would not reflect the true hotel, but all worries were put aside when we arrived. My wife and I had our wedding anniversary at the hotel and felt very satisfied with our choice. The only thinig we wish this hotel had was a pool. The jacuzzi was not used due to the hot weather temperatures outside which made it undesirable at the moment. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a hotel with class that is affordable.

Trip Type: Business Review 27 of 68Great Hotel but Needs better WiFi
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and very satisfied with cleanliness and location. Only problem I have is getting wireless to connect. Some floors have better reception than others. Also be aware that all they have is valet parking which will cost $27/day.

Trip Type: Business Review 30 of 68Great hotel, newly updated rooms
I stay often in hotels in the central busienss district and most of the hotels in this area or those near the french quarter have a kind of dark & damp and don't have a new or clean feeling (for example, Le Pavillon, the Hilton, or the Hampton Inn). The reason I loved this hotel is that the rooms feel and smell new and clean and are beautfully decorated. On the down side, make sure you request a quiet room away from the street if you plan on sleeping. The first night I was there they gave me a room on the 2nd floor right at the corner of a busy intersection. The floor to ceiling windows are single pane, so you hear everything on the street - even the conversations of people waling by in the middle of the night.
