    Very clean hotel. Yumi at the front desk is an excellent employee who makes you feel welcome. The location is near the finer shops and centrally located so you can go anywhere in New York easily. This hotel is a little pricey but worth it.

    Based on my experience with four star hotels this was subpar. Old elevators which were crowded and slow, cracked or sloppy paint near the vents and in the hallway and just generally not a great value for the money. That being said, it was clean, had valet parking and the staff was professional and responsive.

Location. The Omni Berkshire Place is located in New York, N.Y., adjacent to Madison Avenue shopping. Park Avenue, Radio City Music Hall and St. Patrick's Cathedral are within two blocks of the hotel. Grand Central Station is seven blocks away.

Hotel Features. The Omni Berkshire Place's richly restored marble lobby is illuminated with chandeliers and decorated by profusions of flowers. Fireside is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features cocktail cuisine innovation amid a floor-to-ceiling fireplace with several fire boxes throughout. An 18-square-foot video wall in the restaurant shows games and other events. The fitness center offers a sundeck overlooking Midtown. The multilingual concierge staff provides tour assistance and can arrange in-room massages. The Omni Berkshire Place offers a complimentary, morning limousine service to Wall Street and the downtown financial center, with advanced reservations.

Guestrooms. The hotel's 396 guestrooms feature beds dressed in 300-thread count linens, pillowtop mattresses, duvets and feather pillows. Select rooms feature armoires, satin hangers, and reading chairs. High-speed Internet access, fax machines, and complimentary newspapers are provided. Marble bathrooms include makeup mirrors, terrycloth bathrobes and telephones.
