Ideal location with exceptional value. All of the personnel went above and beyond the normal...smiles, helpful and answered all of our questions with honesty.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 37Get what you pay for
I guess as the old addage goes....you get what you pay for. We had the standard room which was a decent size for 3 people but it was not very clean. There were items left in the refrigerator. and, I would not recommend taking a bath in the tub and wear your flip flops in the tub and in the room because the floor is not very clean. They put us in a room right by the elevators so it was very loud unless you like the sound of thunder because that's what it sounds like along with the people in and out of the elevators. Take your earplugs. I can't complain about the immenities though. The pool was very nice with a nice bar. Overall I would say the room was just ok. But who stays in their room all the time anyway? The hotel was just 2 blocks from the beach which was nice. I would say it was an ok room for the money.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 37I Love This Hotel!
Ohana Waikiki West has the feel of a luxury hotel at a bargain price, and the amenities (Waikiki connection) are an added bonus. I will definitely stay here again!

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 37You get what you pay for
The Ohana West is a budget hotel with a few flaws that are acceptable given its great location 3 blocks from Waikiki beach, in the heart of all the vacation action. Rooms are average but clean, though the ones facing Kuhio Ave. (one of the main streets) suffer from noise pollution from late-night partiers--and be aware that the streetwalkers come out on the south side of Kuhio after 10 pm. The elevators are ridiculously slow, unresponsive, and often crowded. Parking inside the basement is expensive and a spatial nightmare. But the rooms are okay, the desk staff are pleasant, and it's fairly cheap. If you want a nicer hotel, head to the beach resorts, but you'll probably pay a heck of a lot more. It isn't perfect, but it's not bad for what you pay, and I would stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 37Good Stay for this Sailor
This hotel is great for the price you pay and the location. Yes it is noisy from the hookers and traffic traveling in the area. I am a Sailor and accustomed to these elements so it didn't bother me a bit. Hotel is close to all the clubs and bars which was convenient for my night time activities. Room is just that. A room, TV, functional bathroom no tub, closet not much space to walk around though. 3 am I could clearly hear my neighbors through the wall enjoying each other.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 37Would recommend if they bought new beds!
Hubby and I spent 6 nights in this hotel. I do not need anything fancy from a hotel as long as it's clean and comfortable. Although the cleanliness was OK, the bed was very uncomfortable. After the second night we complained so housekeeping put a few extra mattress pads on the bed. That made it a little more comfortable, but I sure was glad to get back to my own bed. The location of this hotel is good, just a few short blocks from the beach. We also enjoyed the poolside bar within the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The views are not fabulous but it's definitely worth the $10 per day upgrade to keep from staring at the run-down apartments next door.

Shower stall had mildew and appeared a little dirty. Elevators a bit slow, but we all need have more patience in life. Parking is very cramped and limited. One car that had parked "head in" had to reverse all the way out because he couldn't turn around.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 37Rooms need some touch-ups
The hotel is in a pretty good location although the main strip in front is frequented by prostitutes late at night....The rooms are typical but need some upgrading especially a coat of paint!
