The worst hotel I have ever seen let alone stayed at.

The Ocean Sands was by far the worst hotel that I have EVER in my life stayed at. I paid for 2 nights and only stayed one because of how filthy and disgusting the hotel as a whole was. The hotel was dirty, the television didn't work, the phone in the room didn't work. The housekeeper didn't make the beds. The vending machines and video games were broken and looked like they came from 1972. The elevator didn't work properly and was constantley wet on the floors with no warning sign. The hotel owner was rude and wasn't willing to give us a room with a working t.v and phone. The police were there arresting people out front when we arrived and the next morning when we went down to the beach. It was a complete disaster and Im disgusted in the fact that you would allow such a hotel to advertise on your website. You should have some guidlines of who you allow to advertise on your site because frankly I will never use this site to book a hotel again because you obviously have no idea the cleanliness of the hotels that advertise on your site and the ad was completley misleading.

For the price..

For the price, it is hard to beat. The hotel is old and the people are sketchy. Overall though we had no issues.. the view is great and beach access is super easy. Needs major renovations or torn down, though.

The pits

The whole hotel was extremly dirty. The bed sagged to the floor and when I told them about it they laughed. The water in the inside heated pool was so poluted you could not see to the bottom.

hallways smell but not rooms need a carpet cleanining but view and comfort were great

Beautiful View for the Money

We ended up going over Memorial Day weekend and still got cheap rates. The weather sucked, but our ocean view balcony helped. We cooked breakfast and dinner using our kitchenette which saved more money. Being right on the beach and listening to the ocean at night was fantastic. Sure, the overall room/hotel quality are poor(it's CHEAP!!), but the front desk/housekeeping staff were friendly.

Would not stay again dirty, pictures on internet very misleading hotel is nothing like the picture, only thing it has going for it is the view

Very Poor Hotel

This place is dump, dirty, smelly and no breakfast.... Other than that location was great. It's a shame its so dingy... Needs major fixing.... Do not recommend to others....

HOTEL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED

THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE HOTEL EVERYWHERE WAS VERY OUTDATED AND RUNDOWN. IT IS IN NEED OF A MAKEOVER FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. IT WAS VERY DIRTY AND SMELLY EVERYWHERE.

you get what you pay for

We stayed at this motelduring bike week even after reading many bad reviews of it. I figure you get what you pay for; I took my own sheets and towels as well as a can of lysol. The location of the motel was great there was a full size refrigerator, stove top oven and microwave, kitchen supplies were provided as well as dish detergent at the kitchen sink, this was a nice suprise. The gentleman who worked during the day was very nice and helpful (unfortunately the lady who worked in the evenings was not quite as efficient and had a hard time keeping up with demands of the guest). Would I stay here again maybe, but I would once again take my own linens and lysol.

Cheap and run down hotel

This hotel was not maintained at all it was dirty old and need serios help the beds were stained the lamps wer covered in dust the ac was filthy I was dying to leave was not able to get another room and couldn't get my money back. Never again please consider other options
