NYLO is a very modern hotel, European boutique in nature. Comfortable beds, the latest in technology and fixtures. My 83 your old father-in-law even enjoyed his stay. My only complaint was the loudness of some guests following closing of the bar. They continued partying on the other end of my floor.

Comfy contemporary

The rooms are minimalist, industrial contemporary. The beds are maximally comfortable, deep down comforters, great pillows, nice little river view, and great fresh food. Kind of chic and clever. The staff was great, responsive and thorough. Mall & movies are across the street. It's a good reason to visit Providence.

Great Bed and TV

We stayed in a 'loft' room, very NewYorky, high tech with polished cement walls and curved translucent shower stall. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in.

Nice place near Providence.

One of a kind exceptional

Hard to get to, but once you're there unbelievable. Beds are *huge* Ambiance is ecletic. If you can get a view over the river, very relaxing.

Second Stay

This was my second stay and like the first, the place exceeded my expectations. The staff is courteous, helpful, and appear happy to be there.

Wonderful modern hotel

Great Hotel, very modern, there is also a club that goes on until 1am, so if your into clubbing you will enjoy. The sound from the club can be a little annoying if your an early sleeper

Value on Off-Season

Touted as a 'trendy', maybe it is in sedate RI, but not for seasoned travelers or folks from the big cities. Converted historical industrial space, it is indeed on the river (more of a stream it that point). Mattress is extremely comfortable, but the heating/cooling unit was troublesome to get to (smartly hidden behind the bed, but blocked by side tables and trendy lamps. if i were not slim of size, I would have to climb over the bed to change the temp settings). The WiFi signal was very weak in my end of the hallway room. Once I cable connected, speed was respectable. Room overall is comfortable, clean. The restaurant is touted too, but my mid-week dinner was very disappointing - very bland, no value for $$ in comparison to the huge portions that can be had at the local eateries outside (not mall or franchise food).

Don't believe the hype

Could be a wonderful stay if - WiFi reached the end of the hallway, food was better, guy at front desk sent up the correct order, housekeeping replenished the towels. This is a clean quiet room, very comfy mattress, very easy access to I-95, I295. Priced reasonably during off season Had the worst Lobster Roll - lots of bland lobster but not much else - no mayo, no celery, no onions, no salt, no pepper. WiFi was very weak and dropped frequently from Room 301. Housekeeping forgot to refresh the Keruig station with Tea and Coffee - the front desk sent up 2 cartridges of coffee. Housekeeping also took all the soiled small towels contrary to NYLO's "Green Policy" - but worse, HK did not replenish with fresh! lucky that the room set-up started with a total of 8 towels of various sizes. 4 channels of ESPN, NO Food Network!

Abandon Factroy

The hotel is more then you expect for the room rate! It appears to be an old abandon factory. The hotel is new and built well it sits next to a old factory along the river bank. The rooms are clean, modern and trendy! The place was open and active at 1am when we checked in lots of young adults. This is the place for a reunion or wedding event! we stayed 1 night and wanted to stay longer.

Dark and Cold

The staff was very good, but the atomosphere left alot to be desired. All walls, ceilings and floors are bare cement. My room reminded me of a prison cell, with the exception of a very comfortable bed and good shower. I would not recommend this hotel, but it is a matter of taste.
