Hotels.com: Nuvo Hotel Suites, Calgary, AB, CA

Hi, I attended a conference at the Hyatt and it was very easy for me to go between the Nuvo hotel and the Hyatt. The kitchen was wonderful. I appreciated that I was able to save money since a grocery store is just across the street from the hotel. My challenges were the following: I was facing the street on the 2nd floor. They had a air conditioner in the sliding glass door. It was very easy for someone to enter the unit since the door could be opened from the outside since I was on the 2nd floor. I removed the air conditioner to close the door. The 2nd issue was the floors/carpeting in the unit. The floors are concrete with some type of paint. The floors needed to be repainted. The small area rug had way too many stains and needed to be replaced. It should have been removed and it would have looked better. I would stay there again but I would ask to stay in a different room. There were none available while I was there.

Pros: Cool hotel. Free internet, free calls anywhere within North America, apartment like feel. Cons: No front desk. It was confusing to at first to find parking and to find the front door. I had to call the hotel to get in, and I didnt recieve a bill upon check out. Receptionist is only working between 9am-6pm

I travel a lot for business, and my stay at O Hotel suites is arguably the best stay i have experienced. This hotel is ideal for a traveller who is not really bothered by the frills of large chain hotels such as concierge, room service and so on. The suites are very tasteful with excellent trim. I loved the decor!! Believe me, the hotel room looks twice as nice as the pictures in person!! The staff was very courteous, but be aware that there is no front desk, and the staff is available on call, but this is not an issue at all as they were very helpful with my needs The hotel is located near downtown, and i could walk to everything. Great great stay!! Only downside was that clean staff didnt come to clean till late in the day. I know where i will stay next time in in calgary.

Very poor value

Be warned there are absolutely NO hotel services provided. I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to let me in. The room was very dirty and the dishwasher filled with dirty dishes. There is no soap or shampoo or any other amenity provided. It is located right on a busy street so very noisy. No control over heating and the room was like an oven. I cannot imagine who would find this room acceptable as a Hotel - maybe a long stay person.

It's like an extended stay hotel for executives......very quiet, very discrete, very well priced, and very clean. It met all my expectations....the only variable was the "unique" check-in procedure which required calling the property manager by phone to get access. However, they were exceptionally accommodating and very friendly. Great deal!!!!
