Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 11Modern and convenient
Got a great rate on this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. While our room didn't look out onto the lake, we could still see mountains and part of the lake from our room, and had the added bonus of a lovely little creek running outside the window. Great location, at the edge of downtown, which makes for a quick & easy walk to food and stores and to the lake, but still keeps everything quiet. The room was modern, especially the bathroom. I enjoy having a balcony, too, and the lobby had free internet (granted, it was only 2 machines, but if you can be patient while the bored kids play video games and facebook, it's a nice feature, considering most places make you pay for the privilege).

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 11Exceptional service
Every person at the Novotel Queenstown Lakeside offered truly exceptional service. The concierge desk flawlessly managed last-minute, weather-related changes in my schedule and offered great alternatives, and gave me phenomenal pointers about where to snowboard, from resorts to specific runs at those resorts. (Because the staff haled from locations ranging from France and England to New Zealand, the advice was based on international snowboarding and skiing experiences). And the front desk offered a level of hospitality that I rarely see. The rooms and common areas were beautifully designed, and the in-room safes were spacious enough for my laptop AND loads of camera gear. (I am a professional photographer, so I don't pack lightly in that area even when I'm on a non-work holiday).

This hotel is in the middle of all the action in downtown Queenstown. The rooms are fabulous, and the breakfast food is great! Will definatly stay here again when I travel to Queenstown. Cheers!

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 11clean, efficient, convenient, modern
Liked the fact that there was internet access in the lobby (limited minutes) and washers/dryers available for laundry down the hall. Friendly staff. Great location. A nice surprise find was a lovely pathway along the lake that lead to the next town(as you exit the hotel to the the left).
