Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 510Outstanding Service
This hotel is not super fancy, compared to more expensive hotel chains, but the service was wonderful! Every employee was courteous and there to help. My stay was for one week, and I felt like I had moved into a new one bedroom apartment -- the rooms are so large. I had everything I needed in the kitchen. When the wireless service was not working on my laptop, the front desk staff promptly provided a customer service number that I called to assist with the problem. There was live piano music at the pool at least one night. It was great to hear from my room by the pool. Every morning there was a full, hot breakfast waiting for me in the dining room. Every morning the following were available: three kinds of juices, coffee, toast, muffins, bagels, scrambled eggs (plain and with cheese and jalepenos), meat (sausage links, sausage patties, or bacon), tortillas, two whole fruits (apples, bananas, or oranges), and two sliced fruits (cantalope, grapes, strawberries, or oranges). The area is convenient to everything. The hotel was quiet the whole week I was there. The hotel is an obvious favorite for UT families -- the morning I left there were no less than 20 of them in the dining area in their UT colors (there was a game that day). Half of the rooms are in the process of converting to condos, but the other half will stay a hotel. Only negative about the location: the shampoo and soap were awful for my hair and skin! I will be staying here again.

While I enjoyed the room, I did have issues about odors both inside and outside the room I was in. Someone in the area was smoking marijuana and the smell was very noticeable. There was one night where the odor was most pronounced.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 510Great Hotel To Stay At
My husband,3 children & myself stayed here from Firday,October 20th til Tuesday morning,November 3rd and we loved it.The beds were too soft in our opinions as wll as the pillows. There was some water damage to the ceiling over our bathroom sink, like maybe the upstairs tenants left the waters running or there had been a leaky pipe and some damage to the restroom wall behind the door. The staff was wonderful, the house keepers do great work & the breakfast buffet every morning was wonderful and always had something different to offer! If you have children, this is a wonderful place to stay! Our children are ages,11,8 & 9 & they loved it! I WOULD & already have recommended this place to people we know!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 510A Real Bargain
We had one of their smallest rooms. It had no kitchen, but was more than adequate. Clean and comfortable, though we could hear conversation from the adjoining room. Excellent hot breakfast and evening cocktail reception. Pleasant grounds and convenient location. We will stay again and probably upgrade to a larger room with kitchen. Not the newest or fanciest, but very nice.

A little high priced for my taste and for what you get but all in all a nice quiet place to stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 510Older apartment complex turned part to suites
This is an extended stay style hotel where they empty your trash and change your towels, but don't do a full service room cleaning every day. The room keys are a $5 charge if you lose them. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee. The room is nice with a separate bedroom from the living area. The bathroom attached off of the bedroom on the one bedroom units so if you have multiple people in the room this may be an inconvenience. The styling is rather old, but it was clean and in working order. My room was missing an iron, but one was promptly delivered after I requested one.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 510Hotel is OK...staff is great
I went to Austin to visit my son, so he came and stayed with me. There was a king sized bedroom suite, and a pull out couch in the living area. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was ok, it was old, but clean. Very adequate, just seemed like it needed serious updates. For the price however, it was decent. It was located on a quiet street, and even though we had a room right next to the street, we didn't hear much traffic. Since we were there 4 nights, we had our room made up only once, and whoever did it did a great job. The breakfast was great too, plenty of food and choice was nice. Fruit was fresh and good If you don't mind an older hotel, it's fine, just not a whole lot to do on the grounds. Pool area is small and also needs some updates.
