NH Krystal Cancun Hotel

Nice hotel

This hotel exceeded my expectations. From the friendly staff, restaurant food, bar, and pools I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is the real deal. It is very classy. The way the pool overlooks the blue green water of the Carribean sea is something to see. The only drawback is the slight smell of sulfur coming from the water in the faucets. Also, the Do Not Disturb placed on the door wasn't exactly honored as well as a few phone calls made to me from the front desk. Other than that, no problems. It's in walking distance to all the clubs.

Fantastic Vacation

We were a little worried about the hotel given past reviews, but we shouldn't have been. The service was great, the hotel personnel were extremely accomodating. Pool was always clean (we watched them clean every morning), room was spacious and well-decorated. Food was good and not expensive. Major problems: No internet access at all in the New Tower. Water pressure for the shower wasn't great.

Perfect location; great room for the money; exceeded my expectations

The only thing I can complain about is that some of the staff were rude and made me feel like they were doing me a favor(with the exception of our concierge Patricia, she was super nice. This hotel has the best location for cheaper.

Excelent location. Needs some more activities

Location is excelent, next to all night attractions and even next to one of the big clubs in Cancun downtown. However, if you are not young, travelling with family or more on a relaxing, family-oriented vacation, you might try another hotel.

Cant wait to go back.

Once we arrived at the Krystal we were immediatly upgraded to thier "sister" hotel Dreams, just 2 hotels down. We had a great time. Lots of things in walking distance.

Wouldn't recommend unless you are 18-25 years old.

Good Location but definately a party atmosphere. Walls are so thin that you can hear everything all night long. Hotel is more like a motel, could have gotten a better place for the price.

Needs Improvement

It was like a motel. I hated the room but the pool and grounds were very nice. The room looked like it was slapped together and it just didn’t feel good. It made me want to leave the room, which was ok because the night life was so close, but I needed to feel comfort when I was back at night. It was hard to sleep because of the noise, but I didn’t mind that as much as the room condition. The rooms didn't even have a clock in them! If you take this hotel, take the all inclusive package. It is supposed to have way better rooms!

In our 50s

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, however I would not recommend, to people our age, staying here during peak season. The walls are a little thin as is the ceiling/floor. We heard housekeeping moving the bed next door and felt it when it bumped the wall. We heard conversations in the hallway between maids and could hear walking in the room above. The staff is very accomidating and friendly.

Soon to be a Great Hotel

The Hotel is currently under construction. But the new hotel tower is rather chic and contemporary. I really enjoyed my stay. The pool was not very attractive and the beach is none existent. The beaches surrounding the hotel are very nice but require a 5 minute walk to get to.

Great hotel. Krystal Club Level is excellent

I usually stay at this property when I stay in Cancun. It is one of the older properties in Cancun, but it still is one of the best for the price. The only drawback is limited beach area(depending on time of year and Tides) The concierge level is excellent, and they attend to your every request. I stay one to two times per year and they know me by name and my personal preferences. I understand they are adding a new Concierge level in March 09 and I look forward to the improvement.
