The rooms are very tired. A fresh coat of paint on the wooden trim would certainly revitalize the area. No coffee pot in the room and no small refrigerator were definite drawbacks. Parking is a big problem anywhere on Waikiki; however, to charge $18.00 a day and then one feels obligated to pay at least a fee to the person who retreives your car sometimes numerous times a day is another reason I would not recommend this Hotel. Their claim to fame is the Hau Tree Restaurant, good food and good service. Expensive but in line with all of the Hotels on Waikiki.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 48For the price? mmmm....
Not a bad location, actually great, quiet and far away from the crowds which was good. But for the price you pay it leaves a lot for desire.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 48Great hotel away from busy Waikiki
We were looking for an oceanfront hotel away from the congestion of Waikiki, but not too far away from Waikiki's attractions, and the New Otani Kaimana was perfect. A nice oceanfront park separates the hotel from the busy Waikiki area, which is still only a 10-minute walk away. The rooms, the view, and the service were all great, and the people were friendly and helpful. The Hau Tree Lanai restaurant on the main floor is excellent for any meal, and offers picturesque beach-front dining. The only problem we had during our stay was our room having two twin beds, instead of the one king bed we requested. They had a way, though, of bracing the two beds together to make one big bed. (Obviously not ideal, but for the most part, it actually worked.) We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for these same things in a hotel!

We loved this hotel. We were in the least expensive rooms, on the park view side. The hotel was a little removed from downtown Waikiki, which was nice. We also loved that the hotel was right on the beach and that it was a smaller, calmer beach. The room was clean and comfortable.

Here's the deal. The "Kaimana" is perfectly located at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. It's on the beach, on the park and easily accessible. The valet parking gets busy and there's no in hotel wireless both of which, together add @$30 to your daily bill. It's the unanticipated aspect that is bothersome, not necessarily the amount. Everything else is as close to perfect as one can expect.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 48Nice hotel. Cruddy room
Do not get the Studio room. It looks like a good deal, but unless you don't mind noise, stay away.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 48Lovely Hotel
If you are seeking quietness and comfort, this is the hotel for you. The air conditions should be upgraded to central air because it take the A/C a while to cool the room. The hotel is in a convient location for shopping and fun activities. I would recommend your establishment to others, and I would stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 48quiet location
this hotel was quiet because it was so removed from the main strip in waikiki. the staff was great and our room was always clean. the room was a bit small, but the bed was big and comfortable. if you want to stay in a busy area right in the middle of the waikiki, this is not the best choice.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 48Very nice service
We got a deal on line so it was great for the money. Asked for a late check out which they couldn't provide, but gave us access to a room to freshen up before out flight. Great restaurant at the hotel.
