    The rooms are very tired. A fresh coat of paint on the wooden trim would certainly revitalize the area. No coffee pot in the room and no small refrigerator were definite drawbacks. Parking is a big problem anywhere on Waikiki; however, to charge $18.00 a day and then one feels obligated to pay at least a fee to the person who retreives your car sometimes numerous times a day is another reason I would not recommend this Hotel. Their claim to fame is the Hau Tree Restaurant, good food and good service. Expensive but in line with all of the Hotels on Waikiki.

New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel is Waikiki's Quiet Paradise, located beachfront near Kapiolani Park at the Foot of Diamond Head. A place of tranquility and warm island hospitality on beautiful Sans Souci Beach, this hotel offers graceful views of beautiful Hawaiian sunsets and the culinary excellence from the Hau Tree Lanai or Miyako Japanese Restaurant. Just steps away from exciting ocean activities, guests will find just about everything they will need here, including a fully-equipped fitness facility and a surf school.

The surf school features professional instructors, and the surf shop rents beach equipment. Located on the second floor of hotel, Juju'be Salon and Clinic uses the "Reju'be system" which is a combination of scienced esthetic technique, and the healing form of oriental medicine. There are five different food and beverage outlets onsite, offering guests convenience, variety and fine dining. The Hau Tree Lanai Restaurant located on the lobby level is perhaps Honolulu's favorite beachside restaurant. Locals gravitate to its ideal location, just outside Waikiki proper and at the beginning of Diamond Head's Gold Coast.
