Motel 6 Hollywood

A long 4 days

We were on the 5th floor and every day we returned to our room the key card did not work. After a long day of sightseeing and shopping it is a real pain to have to return to the main floor to get the key reset because the elevator is extreemly slow. One of the clerks said that it was reset by the cell phone and or it was aginst a credit card. The only problem with that rational is both our key cards did not work and mine was kept in my back pocket. The desk clerks could be a little surly at times whenever you question them on anything. The tub had a fairly large hair plug on the drain and there was several short black hairs in a couple of the towels.

Great location

The location is great - right in the heart of Hollywood. The only bad thing about this motel is the staff at reception. They are rude and really need to learn good manners.

Worst Hotel Ever

the hotel was dirty, the staff was VERY impersonable, rooms were not clean, we even had our toliet backed up and i called to have them fix it and they said to come get a plunger and do it yourself. For the money we paid it is not what we expected at all. Will not return.

Needs Elevator Maintenance

The only elevator I saw was out of service twice in two days. Better maintenance would avoid inconvenience to customers.

Great for the money

Bed were a little small. Clean for the money. Parking was a block away 8.00 a night. Which was not all that bad, beats parking on the street in Hollywood. Very conveient.

Hmmmm

Front desk staff was helpful, but room needs some major improvements. Bathtub was disgusting, and obviously wasn't cleaned because it still contained hair from the last guest that stayed there. Room is ridiculously noisy, both inside hotel noise, and with noise from outside the hotel. Noisy apartments next door. Luckily we found parking in their garage, but had to wait in the morning for them to move a car that they had parked in front of ours. Good place for kids to stay that want close access to partying, but if you want to stay in a hotel and get any sleep, stay somewhere else!

Need Shampoo and clock radio in room!

Need shampoo without asking please. And no clock??? TV needs fixing too. But motel was ok and clean.

Good for the money

About what you would expect for this price. All in all, basically a clean room in a convenient location for our needs. Parking can be a hassle. When we went, the hotel garage was full, as was the recommended $8/night garage a block away. Ended up paying $15 for overnight parking across the street from the place a block away. Then when I picked up the car at 10AM the next morning, was told I had to pay another $10 since I was there past 7AM. Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault, just something to bear in mind should you stay here.

Better Customer Service

The desk attendent didn't want to give me any information about possible parking on the street or any where else because I really didn't want to pay $10.00 just to park at the motels parking garage. He just laughed at me and said "hey this is hollywood, are you kidding", and walked away. Thats pretty rude I would say. Thank-you.

good for the money

nothing fancy about a motel 6, but it's good money for staying a night or two and on a budget. the location was right down the street from hollywood which was easy to walk back from a night out.

Great location. Bare bones hotel thats perfect for traveling on a budget. Bring some shampoo, they don't have any.
