Trip Type: Business Review 16 of 1542Hotels.com and Monte Carlo charged me
Beware of the "Resort Fee" that's added to your account upon check in. It's only $9.50 but they claimed it was for 2 bottles of water, a newspaper, and free 800# calls. I indicated I didn't want these things and asked if this would be waived and they said no because these items were already in the room this was a mandatory charge. My room never had the items.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 17 of 1542"Tricky add-on prices"
Found out I had to pay a $14.95 per day extra spa, pool fee that I was not told about. This fee negated the Hotels.com savings. Not happy about this.

Trip Type: Family Review 18 of 1542GOOD ROOM FOR THE PRICE!
EXCELLENT IN EVERY RESPECT EXCEPT THE SHOWER IN THE BATHROOM. WATER SHOULD HIT YOU IN THE FACE, NOT IN THE CENTER OF YOUR CHEST. AN ADJUSTABLE SHOWER HEAD WOULD HAVE BEEN A NICE FEATURE.

The hotel was great, not confusing to get to the desk and parking garage. The pillows were uncomfortable but thats the only complaint i have!

Trip Type: Business Review 22 of 1542Good price, average room
The hotel is very basic compared to the other options close by but ok value if the rates are low. The internet did not work in the room, the TV channel selection is the worst I have seen since the early 1990's (and that was a hotel in Honduras). They seem to be looking to save too much on basic items like the TV selection and they charge way to much for random items like the $7 orange juice on the breakfast menu. Some clever person figured out that people look at the price of breakfast (12.95) but not the price of the juice.

Trip Type: Business Review 25 of 1542Good location
Pro: Situated in the strip, good location surrounded by many restuarants, many different shops and specially CVS which is right around the corner. Con: I booked a top floor,31st, paying extra and hoping to get a better view of the strip but the left side of the view was totaly blocked by the high rise construction.

Trip Type: Family Review 26 of 1542Resort Fee not disclosed, hospitality lacks.
Older hotel, don't expect too much luxuries like the newer ones that surround it. Be aware that they charge an additional fee per day at the time of check in. I was not aware of this, its not disclosed anywhere when I booked it. They call it a "resort fee", when I asked why I was being charged additional the clerk said its a new policy, she said the resort fee includes use of the gym, business center (which use to be free) & 2 bottles of water, I said I will not be using any of those, and asked her to waive it, she insisted it was policy. I had no choice I had to pay it, too late to book another hotel, I also asked her for a free guest coupon book, she refused, stating the rate I paid was a discounted rate. Hospitality lacks.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 27 of 1542Never go back to Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo used to be a nice hotel. I think they really need to remodel it to keep it up. I can hear all the noise from next room even they talk very very very soft, and I can hear the noise when they are taking shower or use the bathroom. ( nobody wants to hear or know any about that) I can hear the people walk by the hall way. They really need to remodel their water system, so customers won't wake up by other peoples turn on the sink. I stay at 30th FL. but I still can hear all the noise from swimming pool :( everything is old :( even the TV is old style.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 30 of 1542Great location
This hotel is located center strip. Easy walking distance to great restaurants, shows and shopping. The room was a standard Vegas room. It was very clean and comfortable for the short time we were there. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again and will recommend this hotel to friends.
