A Understated Gem

This is, without a doubt, the place to stay near the airport in Zurich. It is a great hotel and a great value.

Modern spacious convenient to airport

Perfect hotel if you have a flight the following day. Extremely attractive, great service, lovely decor and very comfortable rooms.

Great Room for the money

I needed a room for one night before heading home. Everything was top notch with this hotel from start to finish with a few small small exceptions. Checking in was a breeze, including the cold glass of fresh squeezed OJ they offered. I was also offered champagne but was just not in the mood. The room was large by European standards, with two queen size beds, desk etc one would expect from a 4 star rated hotel. My only complaints are that the internet was over $25.000 for one day (that's just about the highest I've seen in the EU). The food (room service) was also quite high; but this is Zurich, Switzerland. I just couldn't see how they could charge $25.000+ for a burger and $27.00 for Weinerschnitzel dinner with all the trimmings. (I went for the Weinerschnitzel by the way and it was great!) The shuttle was on time picking me up at the airport and dropping me off for my return trip home. All in all a good place to stay.

Exceptional value and customer service

We stayed 13 nights in Europe and the 2 best stays (1st day and last) were at the Zurich Movenpick. The hotel is like new inside. Both rooms were spectacular: more space than any other hotel we visited, bathroom was luxurious, flat panel TV, and the beds were better than my own. The front desk staff is superior to any other I have seen. The speak fluent English, German, French and at least 1 or 2 other languages that I didn't understand. They will make car reservations for you, exchange currency and order pizza (and pay for it when it arrives and bill your room). They also give you sparkling wine to welcome you. In-room Internet is very expensive, but you can use a hardline behind the reception for free. Breakfast is not included and is also expensive, but one must remember that this is a 4-5 star hotel that you can book on hotels.com for about half the normal price. By far our best experience in Europe. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Great room for the money!

We were greeted at the front desk with a choice of drink - champagne or orange juice. That was a nice touch. The room was spacious and clean. The air conditioning did not work as well as we would have liked but having come from hotels with no air conditioning, we didn't complain. We'd definitely stay there again.

Convenient, Friendly, Great Hotel

The location is perfect for the airport, and the hotel shuttle runs every 15 minutes. You can get to the airport, and catch the train from there that will take you right to the center of Old Zurich - why stay in one of the over priced hotels in that area? The staff was very accomodating, and the restaurant was excellent.

Convenient Hotel

Great location with regular shuttle service to the airport 24-7. The only problem we had was the temperature of the room. Regardless of what we did with the thermostat the temperature never got below 73 at night, 75-77 during the day.

Great Hotel, Even Greater Staff

The hotel was more than we expected - very modern, well decorated, ideally located. The staff paid attention to every detail, including noticing that the day we checked in was also my birthday - they presented me with a bottle of champagne and gave us an upgraded room on the top floor at no cost. The restaurants range from the casual garden to the more upscale, all with well prepared and beautifully presented choices. We had stayed in a hotel closer to the older section of Zurich on our original stop in the city, but should have chosen Moevenpick for both stays as the shuttle to the airport leaves every 15 minutes and from there you can catch a train for the 10 minute trip to the main station in the heart of the older section of Zurich. Moevenpick rates were substantially less than the other hotel, so the savings would more than pay for the train ride if we didn't already have a Eurail Pass. Moevenpick is the only hotel I would chose again in Zurich!

Outstanding Hotel.

I and my wife stayed at this hotel and we never had any regret,good staff,great shuttle bus to and from the airport at no cost to you.When next we're in zurich movenpick hotel is going to be our home away from home.
