Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 3 de 48You will NOT be disappointed with this Resort!!!
The Moana Surfrider was exceptionally beautiful and exquisite! My fiance and I were on our honeymoon and found it the perfect place for romance, fun and breathtaking views. The resort has its own private access to the beach and is just steps away from their pool. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed in the views from this hotel and how pretty the lobby, restaurants and pool area are. The only complaint I had and it wasn't a big one..was I had hoped the hotel rooms were a bit more up-to-date and prettier...especially because the entire hotel itself was so beautiful. Nonetheless, with how much the hotel had to offer and its location, you will spend little time in your room. Still the bed was extremely comfortable, room equipped with a flat screen tv and had a fantastic view of Waikiki. Best location and would love to stay here again!!!

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 5 de 48Incredible Hotel
Easily the most beautiful hotel in Waikiki, a combination of classic elegance, Hawaiian charm, and oceanfront romantic beauty. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating, our room was large and attractive, and the setting was just extraordinary. We could not have been happier and will return there every time we go to Honolulu.

Our party took 2 rooms; one in the beautifully restored original wing (the oldest grand hotel in Waikiki) and the other in one of the newer additions. The room in the original hotel faced Waikiki Beach and afforded a gorgeous view of the beach and Diamondhead. The other room was located on the streetside of the hotel and provided a wonderful view of the stately facade of the hotel and bustling, hustling Kalakaua Avenue. The difficulties mentioned by some other reviewers regarding street noise were not a problem in our streetside room. Both rooms were furnished with tasteful decor and very comfortable beds. The hotel staff and entertainment in the Banyan Courtyard were consistently very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the streetside porch above the entranceway and people watching from the large koa wood rocking chairs. The Moana, of course, has a very rich history and we enjoyed the many exhibits on display just one floor above the lobby. Staff apparently give hour-long guided tours of the hotel several days per week but unfortunately for us the tour was not scheduled on the night we spent there. Maybe next visit. We had a very pleasant and memorable stay.

I don't normally stay at a 5-star hotel because of the cost, but this hotel was definitely worth the cost. The oceanfront suite was beautiful with amazing views of Waikiki. Staff was great and valet is fine as long as you call ahead to get your car. Can't wait til I can take my family here again :)

Tipo de viaje: Family Reseña 8 de 48Very disappointed with second stay
We use hotels.com often. Staff is always very friendly and tried to help work out any issues. Very professional, I highly recommend using hotels.com Review Text: We stayed at this hotel two years ago and were very satisfied. We told all of our friends and family what a great hotel it was. Many of them stayed at this hotel since our recommendation. We were completely disappointed with our last stay and all of the changes since our last trip. Front desk was rude and argumentative when we had a problem with our room. The beach bar/restaurant was under construction and was unbearably loud, you could not enjoy the view with a jack hammer next to you. This would require you to run away to another island location until later in the evening only to find tables reserved when you came back so you would need to go to another hotel to enjoy the sunset. The beach front chairs were rented for $30-$40 per day so what was the point of staying at the ocean front hotel and paying $300+ per night when you have to rent your chair. I recommend staying at a less expensive hotel because paying the price to stay ocean front didn't matter because you couldn't enjoy the ocean front atmosphere of this hotel. Employees didn't seem to care if guests were happy or not

This is a top notch hotel. The oldest hotel on Waikiki, and one of only 3 actually right on the beach. The hotel is old, but they have done a great job updating and maintaining it. The breakfast buffet was great. A little pricey, but that's what you expect at such a nice place especially b/c you're on Waikiki Beach.

Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 13 de 48A Real Treat!
The Moana Surfrider hotel was by far one of the best hotels I've ever visited. The room was wonderful, but above all, I'll remember the outstanding level of service we received from check in to check out. Try the Mai Tai and the Hawaiian Punch (neither are for minors) at the poolside bar.

Charming and historic hotel with an excellent location. Be sure to ask for the updated or recently remodeled rooms. Caution: rooms facing street can be a bit noisy in the early evening. Lots of nooks and crannies where one can sit and read or just relax with beautiful views. Peculiar requirement to reserve poolside or beach chairs one day in advance. The only real negative was extremely slow service in the Banyon Tree Bar, rear patio area. We had to conatantly get up and go to the bar and ask for service (minor annoyance).
