Good & cheap

Good Hotel well located if you plan to tour the whole city. And very cheap for the quality.

Very friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere for pretty cheap

I really thought the Mission Valley Resort was well worth it. I had never been to San Diego before and I couldn't afford the rates of some of the downtown places. I ended up very satisfied. The location is close to Ocean Beach and Mission Bay as well as the Old Town neighborhood. The staff at the inn were accommodating and friendly. The housekeeping staff were very thorough. At the inn there is a heated pool and hot tub that are usable until 9 p.m. Additionally, the diner on hand is very reasonable. There is access to a Frog's Gym, which is located right behind the establishment. I can't say enough about the place. I would certainly recommend it if you're not interested in staying downtown or just want to save money without sleeping in hole.

Okay room

We stayed in this hotel for our one year anniversary. Our room was great except the night we stayed, they had a wedding reception going on. It was extremely loud and i thought it was extremely rude of the front desk not to give us a notice or let us know that was going to happen. Our room was nice and big, but it was just disappointing that the reception was right outside our room.

Needs Improvement

It is an older hotel that looked like they had tried to update. The room itself was okay but the bathroom made you wonder if you should use it. They had repainted the tiles and it was peeling off the walls and looked dirty. The tub/shower was so small it made it feel unconfortable. My food trays were never picked up from outside after eating. There were litteraly rats running across the tops of the fence surrounding the pool. The rooms themselves were kind of small. The staff seemed nice and helpful and the ground were pretty except for all the ciggerette butts in the foliage. The pool was very nice except there were no towels there like they said and the nearest ice machine was not in my building and I had to look for another one which was not always full.

Avoid this Motel

We stayed at this motel for five nights and would advise anyone not to stay here. The check in staff was very abrupt and rude. The key cards failed, there was mold in the bath ect.There was several events at the motel and it was nearly impossible to sleep.A wedding party got so loud the San Diego Police had to come and break it up at about one AM. We travel often and would never stay here EVER!! If we had not pre-paid with Hotels .Com we would have never checked in.

Great room for the $$

I stayed here for 2 wks and loved it. The staff was nice, maintenance and housekeeping. The only thing that I wish that their internet service was better. It needed to be reset several times while I was there. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

The hotel was close to everything, and right off the freeway. Very clean.

Overall the hotel was nice,comfortable. The drain in the shower was very slow filling up the tub as we showered. The location is great close to everything.

Great place for your money

We went to San Diego for graduation from Marine boot camp. It is very easy & close to get to MCRD, great location. Would recommend this hotel to others

Well equipped gym

The room was outdated, the walls were very thin and there was no weather stripping on the exterior door. Despite that we had full use of a professional gym at no extra charge just a few feet from our room and the location was convenient to the beach and downtown San Diego. If it's more important to have a nice room stay somewhere else.

Great Place

The hotel was comfortable and met our needs very well and priced right for the area. Other services just minute away and easy access to all. Would stay here any time.
