    My wife and I spent two incredibly relaxing nights and three days soaking up the beauty of the countryside and surrounding area with all the lakes, quaint shops and quiet country roads. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the golf course. What a view! We did NOT like the "pillow-top" mattress... The matress was anything but that. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay and have recommended it to our friends.

Location. The Mission Inn Resort and Club is located in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The hotel is two miles from Little Lake Harris and Yalaha Bakery.

Hotel Features. Built in the early 1900s, this smoke-free hotel offers sports courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball and shuffleboard. Bicycle rentals are available. The property offers a fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool and spa tub. The on-site Marina del Rey offers a nautical center with boat rentals. Golf courses, a trap and skeet range, and a playround are on site. The resort features four dining options. La Hacienda offers breakfasts, lunches and a Sunday brunch. El Conquistador serves Spanish- and regionally-influenced dinners. Nicker's offers American fare during lunch and dinner hours. La Margarita Lounge, a poolside bar, features light fare and cocktails. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is provided throughout the resort.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms include cable television. In-room safes are provided. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses and allergy-sensitive duvets. Complimentary weekday newspapers are delivered. Rooms offer screened balconies.
