Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 217Why you should consider the Midtown Hotel
The price/location is way to good to pass up as long as you don't have high expectations. The hotel is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and the location is perfect for getting around the city. The rooms and decor are very dated but, this time of year, everything else in Boston is very expensive. With the money you save, you can have some great meals. Thats my rational.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 217Worst hotel I have ever stayed
Midtown hotel is essentially an overpriced motel. I could easily hear the people next door because the walls were so thin. My room smelled like smoke even though there was a non-smoking sign on my door.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 217Great Location! Acceptable Ammenities!
This hotel is in a great location and it is very easy to get to the T and around town from here. Moreover, it is only a few blocks from the Prudential Plaza with great shopping and dinning. The staff is very friendly and try to be as helpful as possible. There is nothing super "cushy" about the hotel or the rooms but they are great for a budget stay. Everything is clean and neat. Only complaints included a shower head that was too low to easily stand under and the front desk lacked "forgotten essentials" such as contact solution or cough drops, even though they had the sign suggesting they had it. I would definitely recommend this as place to stay for eager travelers or tourists.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 217Nice hotel
Pretty cheap for Boston. I was in town for a Red Sox game and it's located very close to Fenway Park, 20 min walk or so. Plenty of late night dining options on the walk back from game as well.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 217Great Location, No Services - Business Travelers Beware
The best thing about the Midtown Hotel is its location. Other than that, if the hotel offers any services whatsoever, they are a well-kept secret. It's you, two pillows, and a soda machine down the very long hall.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 217make sure AC works
My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Hyatt on the Charles River, but switched to The Mitown Hotel because it would have been an easier walk to Fenway Park (went up for a Yanks vs. Red Sox game and to see the Green Dumpster), and if need be walkig distance to other points of interest. We left the hotel at 5pm, and left the AC on full blast. We got bak around midnight and our room was a sauna- AC did not work. Their solution?? They gav us a desk fan to use overnight. They advised a maintenance guy would come the next day, but didn;t until i made more of a stink... finally they moved u to another room, and the AC worked, but then that room smelled like the buffet in an Atlantic City casino... like old clothes and mold. If you KNOW the AC doesn't work right in the room, as the maintenance guy pointed out, WHY DO YOU BOOK GUESTS IN IT??? IT WAS THE HEAT OF SUMMER, YOU CAN SWEAT IN THE SHOWER IT WAS SO HUMID AND GROSS!!!!!
