Trip Type: Business Review 16 of 219Great Location, No Services - Business Travelers Beware
The best thing about the Midtown Hotel is its location. Other than that, if the hotel offers any services whatsoever, they are a well-kept secret. It's you, two pillows, and a soda machine down the very long hall.

Trip Type: Romance Review 18 of 219make sure AC works
My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Hyatt on the Charles River, but switched to The Mitown Hotel because it would have been an easier walk to Fenway Park (went up for a Yanks vs. Red Sox game and to see the Green Dumpster), and if need be walkig distance to other points of interest. We left the hotel at 5pm, and left the AC on full blast. We got bak around midnight and our room was a sauna- AC did not work. Their solution?? They gav us a desk fan to use overnight. They advised a maintenance guy would come the next day, but didn;t until i made more of a stink... finally they moved u to another room, and the AC worked, but then that room smelled like the buffet in an Atlantic City casino... like old clothes and mold. If you KNOW the AC doesn't work right in the room, as the maintenance guy pointed out, WHY DO YOU BOOK GUESTS IN IT??? IT WAS THE HEAT OF SUMMER, YOU CAN SWEAT IN THE SHOWER IT WAS SO HUMID AND GROSS!!!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 21 of 219Good for the cost
Hotel was clean and neat. Courteous staff. Carpets in hallways a little worn. Room was clean although decor a little bit dated.Bed was comfortable. TV did not work but no big deal as I was just there for one night. Swimming pool looked clean and well maintained although I did not use it. Parking on site, $18 daily. Good location for the purpose of my visit. I90 nearby. Would reccomend to others looking for an inexpensive stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 22 of 219Good location for Red Sox game
The Hotel was within walking distance to Fenway Park and Landsdowne Street. Not easy to leave, but that's Boston.

Employees were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. On site parking was a plus however we had to pay for it when I thought it was included in the price.

Trip Type: Business Review 24 of 219Belongs next to a highway in the middle of nowhere.
Don't let the image on this page fool you. What's important is what you can't see. This hotel is a 2-story 1970's design that probably even looked cheesy then. Things get worse on the inside. The hallway carpets have been soiled and matted, at certain points you are presented with overwhelming smells, all unpleasant. The whole building felt and appeared dank and unkempt.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 26 of 219Great Location
The hotel was smaller and older than I had expected, but it was clean and comfortable. The location was right off of the subway and the people at the front desk were very helpful.

Trip Type: Family Review 27 of 219Midtown Hotel Dump
We were shocked at the condition of this hotel. It was dirty, outdated and uncomfortable. Air conditioning didn't work so they brought a fan to our room. Carpet, walls and bedding looked old, washed out and dirty. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: Family Review 28 of 219Staff very helpful
Close to Fenway Park. Accessible to tour busses and public transportation. The Townhouse Cafe, right down the street, has the best breakfast.
