Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 273Good room for the money.
This hotel was good for the money that we paid. All the hotels around it were twice as expensive. Service was extremely nice and helpful.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 273Redefining cheap
I arrived at the hotel at 2:00 in the afternoon. When I tried to check in, the hotel clerk looked at his watch and told me that check in was at 3:00. But, for an additional $10.00, he could "allow" me to check in early. I had absolutely no choice because my room was a prepay with no refunds and I had to be downtown by 3:30 and this hotel is VERY far from downtown Kansas City. I have NEVER been charged to check in a little early in my life! The lobby was old and not very attractive but, the room, even though small, was fine. I would NEVER use a Microtel hotel again because of their early check in fees. I think they have truly redefined cheap and outrageous.

Hotel had a strange odor, seemed older. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 273Pleasant Stay
This is a family-run hotel, so it has the feeling of a bed and breakfast in a hotel building. Everyone was nice, the hotel room was clean, etc. contributing to a pleasant stay for the price.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 13 of 273Fair room for the money
I was booked into an accessible room, which was fine, because it meant more space. The room was decent, it had a mini fridge and a microwave, which was nice, as well as a bath tub. My only complaints were that it was a smoking room with no ashtrays...we were able to request one. The water could've been a little hotter in the bathroom, but I do understand temps need to be kept at a safe level. Also, there could be heat in the bathroom, but other than those minor things, the room was fine for an overnight stay. It was my second time being a guest there. I appreciated the complimentary package we recieved, which had cold medicine, antacid, and toothpaste. I just happened to have a cold, so it was greatly appreciated.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 273worth the money
The room was very nice and clean. The lighting the room was excellent, which is hard to find in most hotels. The service was quick and great.
