Terribly Inconvenient

The location was the only convenient thing about this hotel. It seemed to be rigged to make you pay for extras. The television reception was so bad that it was almost necessary to pay for the pay-per-view movie in order to watch it. The in-room internet advertised as an ammenity did not work and the only help the reception gave me was to suggest I use the business center for 3 pounds per 15 minutes. The vending machine did not work, and the only option was to spend double the price for half the size if a soda was desired. These are a few of the problems that I encountered. I was not happy with the response of the staff to these issues either.

Just ok, only for airport

Everything was OK with hotel except the beds were awful. Springs and buttons poking did not make it very comfortable. Only stayed for location near airport. Shuttle was nice and food was decent too.

Good for money and location.

Certainly not a vacation destination, but it served its purpose for a 1-night stay.

ok for an overnight stay near the airport

hotel was ok. it served its purpose. i thought the halls smelled weird, but then i got used to it. nothing terrible...the staff was nice and a shuttle runs regularly to take you to the airport. can't imagine staying here if you don't need to be right near the airport

Great value, easy connect to airport. Overnight parking not included and a little pricey.

Needs improvement

As a 4-Star hotel,they need to replace some things in the room i.e.Faucets. Room was very clean.Close to the airport.Was very disappointed when we had to pay to park for the night,especially as the car-park was very full.Unless you wanted to park a long way away with the long-term parking. Considering the tariff we saw we paid a great price. Expected a bit more for a 4-star hotel.

Good location, Shuttle

The hotel was nice. Rooms were dated, but large and clean. The bed wasn't too comfortable but we were only there one night. I chose it because it had an airport shuttle, which is apparently shared with other area hotels. It was 3 pounds per person each way, but the drivers accepted euros (and I'm guessing dollars) at an exchange rate that seems to be up to the driver.

Nice room, great service

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. A bus runs every 15 minutes from the Gatwick Airport to the hotel, so it is easy to get to the airport for flights or to catch a train.

Reasonable value

Clean room and met standards for hotels that Americans expect. Food in restaurant a bit overpriced. Convenient to airport and reasonable value.
