Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 11Not an appropriate location
The location is at a busy intersection of main streets and there is heavy traffic and noise. There is hardly any restaurants and shopping in close proximity.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 11Close to airport...
for overnight en route to Cusco, etc. Otherwise, Miraflores is a better area to stay. Standard room varies substantially, so ask to see room. Very nice staff.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 11Check the Room
San Isidro is an affordable alternative and nearby to ideal Miraflores (and closer to Lima Airport). I stayed two different nights at this hotel. Both times I had a "standard" room, but the differences were huge. The second time, I was on the sixth floor in a much more modern, much quieter room. Request to see your room, first, and avoid the second floor as music from the bar is audible there. Staff is very friendly/ helpful. Clean, nice facility.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 11Good 4 Star Experience...
Just got back from a 3 day visit to the Hotel Melia. The staff is friendly, the room was fairly modern and all appliances worked fine. The room had both 110V and 220V outlets and an in-room safe. I asked about the drinkability of the tap water, and while they said it was indeed filtered, the front desk humbly suggested I proceed with caution. Anyway, I ended up getting tired of buying bottled water and drank the hotel's tap water with no deleterious side effects. Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is not walking distance to anything newsworthy, but if nothing else its a very safe neighborhood. Avoid rooms on the front of the building, because people in Lima loving honking their horns and those rooms are loud. Stay on the other side and all will be fine.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 11Good Hotel but.......
This is a nice hotel located in the Miraflores area which is much nicer than some of the other areas of Lima. One thing though....if you book a room make sure you get one NOT located near a street corner. We were kept awake almost the entire night by car alarms and car horns.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 11Military Warning
Once I arrived at the hotel, one of my two rooms were not available. After 30 minutes the staff was able to locate a room. At 3am, a note was placed under my door informing me of an additional 20% charge per room for not having passport information. I went to the desk and once again explained to the staff member working nights that as a member of the United States Military, my orders and military ID were equivalent. After another 30 minutes, the charges were dropped. There was no robe in my room however; there were two in the other room booked. The little time I actually spent in the room was nice but I will not stay there again. The staff was not very knowledgeable and didn't communicate with their oncoming personnel.
