Excellent Vacation Experience

Our stay was a very pleasant experience. The accommodations, staff, food and amenities were all great. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Needs improvement with the beds

The beds were very hard, the first night my husband and I developed severe back pains. We both suffer from lower back in the past. Our kids seem fine. The hotel provided extra padding when we explain and the bed was better.

Not for the seasoned traveler!

Hotel front desk staff was incredibly rude and when informing us that both of the 2 rooms we booked did not have king beds...however, if we wanted to pay an additional $300.00 per night per room for a suite we could have the King beds we reserved. It was not a great start to a very special Anniversary and they made no attempt to apologize. After several hours at the front desk in the heat with our luggage they showed us our rooms, neither non smoking as requested, both on the first floor which smelled of mold, and neighter with the view we had paid for. We were lucky enough to have a cockroach in our room. we were not lucky enough to have chairs on our deck as our room was right outside the pool and becasue the pool area does not have enough pool chairs to accomodate guests i suspect someone took our chairs as they were gone our entire stay. yes, if you want a pool chair at this sunny resort, you will need to wake up at 5am to outside and "mark" your chair with your stuff. Or you can go down to the beach area. I say area as it is a tiny space that is more of a cove and certainly not what any real beach goer would find acceptable. The spa is less than a dump and that is putting it nicely. If you want hand towels, bring them yourself. If you want dirty rooms with hair from previous guests in your bathrooom this is your place. Our second room had feces in the toilet from the previous guest! These rooms are quite simply dirty, and you can hear everything outside which is great when you need a reminder to get up to "mark" your pool chair. Do not stay here, it is cheesy, dirty, and not what is to be expected from any kind of vacation resort.

This place is not for the seasoned traveler

Upon check in where we had confirmed 2 rooms each non smoking with one king bed (it was our Anniversary) we were told they did not have any king beds left only 2 doubles. However, if we wanted to pay an additional $300.00 per night they would upgrade one of the rooms to a Suite which was non smoking with the view we had booked and we could have a king bed for our Anniversary. Since we had reserved not one, but 2 king bed rooms we was shocked to find this and the kicker was the chap at the front desk, instead of apologizing or offering to help, insinuated maybe we did not have proof of our confirmed reservations when the gal helping us had already confirmed what she saw on the screen was 2 non smoking rooms with king beds. Fortunately we did have proof, but the fact we needed it was appalling and certainly not the service we expect or have ever encountered in our many travels! At that point we requested to speak to the manager and this chap argued with us irritating us beyond comprehension refusing to get the manager who finally came out after 15 minutes of painful irritation as he clearly enjoyed hearing himself talk. We should have switched hotels at that time as we knew we had made a poor choice. The manager made very little effort to apologize for the inconvenience letting us know this hotel is geared towards families so only 20% of the rooms have King Beds. She did finally offer us a room with a king bed, not the view we reserved (I would not have reserved a pool view on the ground level), and the balcony clad with ashes and ashtrays (we reserved non smoking) didn’t even have any chairs on it (some did, some didn’t...I suspect our chairs were taken by frustrated people wanting to sit at the pool who did not get up at the crack of dawn to “mark” their pool chairs). Both rooms we were given smelled of mold and mildew. Great Value for the Money

We agree with the previous reviews which said that the service is great,rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms,mattresses and pillows are a bit hard. Food is not fancy in terms of presentation at the buffets, but there was always fresh fish and fruit, a variety of nice desserts, drinks are good too. Beach is walkable for a few miles. Hotel Shuttle to Cabo San Lucas has been discontinued. We took the bus at $1.50 each way. Clean, quick and the driver is happy to remind you of your stop.

Outstanding Customer Service

The staff here was very friendly and personable. Our needs were anticipated with smiles and service was impeccable! There was no doubt that they really loved their jobs.

This hotel was gorgeous with the nicest staff and surroundings! The food was a little repetitive as far as the buffet went, but the speciality restaurants were wonderful and there was always somewhere to get something to eat or drink! The staff really went out of their way to make everyone comfortable and to meet our needs! The only negative is the rock hard beds - otherwise a great deal for the price and beauty of Los Cabos! Bus picks up right in front of the hotel - make sure you let the driver know where you want to get off so they can tell you when! Slightly complicated with some walking involved, but well worth not paying $25-40 for a cab ride one way to either town or the airport! I would recommend families with children to stay at this hotel - lots to do with or without the kiddos and again, the staff went out of their way to be courteous to the kiddos as well! LOVED IT!

relaxing days at the pool and beach

bring your bubba keg for coffee in the morning and beer in the afternoon. supremely authentic mexican breakfast. great sushi and lamb chops. wonderful kids club activities and staff. nice shuttle to town. helpful concierge. no problems whatsoever! please remember that you're in mexico and on vacation...leave your watch at home and relax!
