    I think that grounds of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I am not going to blame the people working there, since Bali has in overall wonderful people. The management is to blame, here are some examples: our room was pretty but it stunk it had a moldy smell that attached itself to our clothes. On our fourth complaint they finally took us seriously and moved us to another room (also in their defense they washed all our clothes, but who wants that???). Secondly, we wanted to venture outside the hotel we asked for a recommendation and we were told that it was against hotel policy! What?! We had them make reservations at another hotel's restaurant, we got charged for the call. It is not about the money but the principal of it. We were at the pool, we needed towels, we must have asked 5 people we never got the towels. No one was able to tell us that you had to go to a special place to get us towels. We stayed in Bali for ten days and split it in three hotels. Thank goodness bc honestly i would have had a much different vacation if i had only stayed at the melia.

The Melia Bali Villas and Spa Resort is a luxury property strategically located only 12 kilometers away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport.     As of 1 January, 2008, Melia Bali Villas & Spa will adopt a no-smoking policy for appointed rooms and balconies on all floors of Building IV and such rooms will be identified with announcement cards. Guests who violate the no-smoking policy will be fined USD200. The fee will be added to the guest’s bill or will be sent to the guest’s address if they have checked out.
