    I thought long and hard before I decided to stay here. I read good reviews, but the price was high for the area and their website is terrible. Fortunately the actual experience was beyond my expectations. I stayed in a garden villa and t was a secluded little piece of heaven. The room was lovely, bed was comfortable, but my favorite was the daybed in the garden. What a great spot to relax and read a good book. The spa was also fabulous, I had a good massage therapist and the spot next to the river made it even better. The restaurant and pool next to the spa are also worth a trip. If you want to stay at a higher end place in Bali, i would definitly reccomend this one.

Set in a hillside garden of 10 hectares and stretching across a gravity-defying peninsula set high above two river valleys, the Maya Ubud Resort and Spa in Ubud, Indonesia, features a lovely location and is within walking distance of Ubud. Ngurah Rai International Airport is 55 kilometers from the resort.

With its traditional Balinese design featuring pavilions, courtyards and an open-air lobby, the Maya Ubud Resort and Spa provides architecturally inspired spaces for relaxation. To get to the spa, a highlight of the property, visitors must first take an elevator through a gorge. Once there, services offered include the Petanu Interlude, a three-hour session consisting of a Balinese massage, herbal treatment and bath, and reflexology. (Please note that children are not allowed in the spa areas, including River Café and the spa pool.) The resort features two large outdoor pools, a winding nature trail, tennis court and putting green. After such exertion, hungry guests have three on-site dining options. Maya Sari Asiatique serves Japanese cuisine, Maya Sari Mas offers international fare, and the River Café features light snacks.

Guestrooms at the Maya Ubud Resort and Spa continue the Balinese design theme, but with a contemporary twist of bright yellow accents and blue slate floors. Villas include terraces, and select units feature private plunge pools.
