Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 10Cheap, comfortable and connected to the Metro
Well worth considering this hotel. Staff spoke English and all billing etc.. worked well. The hotel is clean, quiet, good breakfast selection and near a metro line that will take you downtown near Red Square or connects to the rail line to sheremetyevo airport. One exit to the metro is better than the other (i.e. closer to the hotel) - go for the one with the fewest links to buses as shown on station signs.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 10Overall, a great experience!
I especially liked the Maxima Zarya for its very reasonable price, for their help in getting my Visa, for their very helpful English-speaking staff, and for their very good breakfasts. I suppose the location is also good, within walking distance of the Metro. I did find it an exhausting half-mile walk with my heavy bags -- but I shouldn't complain. I found some very good written instructions online to help me find my way from the Metro to the hotel. I imagine I could have gotten lost without these instructions.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 10Great Hotel
The hotel is in a nice quiet neighborhood setting. The metro is a short walk from the hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful in every way. The complimentary breakfast was also very good with a large variety of food. The rooms were very clean, quiet and confortable. We changed reservations to come back and stay another night. The only complaint was that the room was stuffy, even when we opened a window, but with no air conditioning in July that is understandable. I would recommend bringing a small fan.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 10Hot Water Limitation
The hotel was clean and nice. One issure was the hot water as it was zoned to be hot only for 3 hrs in the moring and 3 hrs in the evening which was not posted anywhere so if you wanted to take a hot shower other than between 6 to 9 both am and pm it was very cold.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 10Very Nice Place
The hotel itself was very nice. Most of the staff spoke very good English and everyone greeted me with a "hello" and a smile. Wi-Fi was available in the bar only and the cost was 100 rubles per hour or about $4.17. The bar is an open area next to the main entrance as is more like a well lit room than a dark bar and great place to meet friends and conduct business. The free buffet breakfast was from 7am to 10am and had very good variety. I think to change currency it is better to go across the street to the bank rather than the machine in front of the elevators. Very close is a store (underground) which has just about everything in case you forget something like your toothbrush!
